Tudtam, hogy ránézésre nem tűnök valami nagy számnak, a megjelenésem sem túl vonzó, de a bensőm elég rendkívüli. Minden színpadra lépés előtt azt mondom magamnak, hogy én vagyok a legjobb, és minden előadás után ugyanúgy azt, hogy nem én vagyok. Ezért minden fellépés előtt 120 százalékosan kell felkészülnöm, hogy az előadáson 100 százalékos teljesítményt tudjak nyújtani. Ennek érdekében minden álló nap folyamatosan képzem magam. Már nagyon hosszú ideje alváshiányban szenvedek, mert ha éppen nem dolgozom, akkor vagy edzek, vagy a koreográfiákat és a dalokat próbálom. Éppen úgy, mint a filmfelvételek idején, ha valamit nem csináltam jól, képtelen vagyok aludni. Akár színészként, akár énekesként, a legjobbat kell tudnom kihozni magamból. De nem kell aggódni, hogy most nincs elegendő időm az alvásra, jut arra majd bőven a halálom után. (Rain)

Asian Edition of Rain's Album "Rainism" Sold in 9 Countries

Singer Rain (real name Chung Ji-hoon) has released his fifth album entitled "Rainism" in the entire Asian region.

Rain's agency, J Tune Entertainment, said it will first release the Asian edition of the album in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and later will expand the sales to Thailand, Japan and China as well. The company has also signed license deals with GMM Grammy for the album's distributiion in English-speaking countries, with Warner Music for its distribution in Chinese-speaking countries, and with Pony Canyon for its distribution in Japan.

The Asian edition of Rain's album contains the English versions of the songs "Rainism" and "Love Story," which were originally released in Korean. The Chinese and Japanese editions also contain the same songs recorded in Chinese and Japanese, respectively.

Rain will hold a concert in Shanghai, China in January next year.

[TALK OF THE TOWN] Watch out world, Korean singer and actor are ready for discovery

Rain and hallyu star Lee Byeong-Heon have been “discovered”.

The Discovery Channel announced Monday that it filmed a documentary featuring the two stars in Seoul recently.

The 90-minute documentary is called “Hip Korea”, and the two starsappear in the first half of the show called “Seoul Savvy”. The other segment is called “Seoul Vibes”.

Filming Rain took place mainly in Hongdae in northern Seoul and Cheongdam-dong in southern Seoul, where he was presented as a dynamic and youthful person.

Lee was portrayed as a more romantic figure, and his scenes were shot in quieter areas like Insa-dong and Samcheong-dong in central Seoul.

Hip Korea will be broadcast on the Discovery Channel in Australia next month, New Zealand and Southeast Asia in February and Europe in May.

Checking out Rain’s ‘Six to Five’ brand launching show

Rain’s fashion line ‘Six to Five’ launching show took place on 23rd December at GyeongGiDo Kintex.

A press conference was held at 5pm before the show itself at 7pm. There was also a red carpet for the singers and actors who turned up for the show.

The launching show was done in a fashion concert style, something never tried before, and Rain performed some of his never-performed-remix songs while the fashion show takes place. Also the show itself was divided into different colour concepts - red, blue, white and black.

Pop diva Lee Hyori also personally turned up in ‘Six to Five’ clothes on the red carpet.

Rain will start work on his American album next February.

Rain said during the press conference to his brand ‘Six to Five’ launching show on 23rd December, “I will finish my activities and promotion in Korea by 2008. Then I will do promotion for my Asian album in end-January.”

“From next February, I will be working on my American album. After which, from March I will be promoting for Hollywood film ‘Ninja Assassin’. There will also be a new concert tour next year.”

Pleasing both eye and ear, twice its original pleasure.

Rain splendidly completed year 2008, showing the fashion concert combined with fashion &music.

Rain hold 'Six to Five' launching show, casual brand, in Kintex, Kyungkido Ilsan on the afternoon of the 23th with great success.

'Six to Five' is shown by JTune Creative under JTune entertainment, Rain's agency, and it has generally been known that not only does he act as a model attached to 'Six to Five', but also he directly plans. That has been talked about since the event before.

It arrested the audience's eyes that the fashion and its short pieces based on the 4colors, Red, Blue, White, and Black, associated with 4 seasons, were shown.

Especially, at this fashion show progressed with a theme of Red and Black, the pleasure of hearing as well as the performance was added that Rain directly sang his songs on the stage.

This day, Rain got through with 'Love Story', 'I Do', 'It's Raining', and etc, including 'Rainism', his 5th title song.

Rain gave his impressions at the end of the mini concert, "I much tried to show the fashion show of new ideas for the past 4 months, preparing for this launching show. I'm satisfied that it seemed to be a good show as much as I worked hard.

Also, his remarkable personality networking was estimated that Lee Hyo-Lee, Yun Kye-Sang, Shon Ho-Yeong, Kim Seon-Ah, Jeong Joon-Ho, Chae-Leem, Byun Jeong-Soo including Michelle Wie, golf star, were present at his launching show.

[24-Dec-2008] Michelle Wie & Rain, "We Are Each Other’s Fan"

Summary of this article:

- Golfer Michelle Wie, her parents and uncle attended Rain’s fashion launch show and mini concert last night.

- When the event ended around 8:10 pm, Michelle went backstage, searching for Rain’s dressing room to see him. When she met him, she said, "Thank you for the invitation. The show was great, I really like Korean music, I listen to them often."

- Rain responded to her, "Thank you for coming." After which he also said to her, "Before you head back to the US I must treat you to a meal." Michelle shyly nodded and said, "Okay".

- Michelle doesn’t know a whole lot of Korean, so they didn’t exchange much words, but they took a picture together and encouraged one another before parting ways.

- Michelle has been in Korea doing some appearances and charity work, also attended Lee Hyori’s concert a few days ago. She heads back to the US on Christmas Day.

Rain launches clothing line, “Six to Five”

Following in the footsteps of music movers and shakers in the U.S. (i.e. Sean Combs, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani etc), Korean born and bred, Rain has also launched a clothing line, “Six to Five” on December 23rd. The 26 year old wannabe mogul is the face as well as the main designer for the line.

At the press conference in Ilsan, Rain announced that the clothing line is expected to domestically rake in a respectable 10 billion won (7.5 million USD) in revenue for 2009. Of course, the line will be sold in Korea and China.

Rain performed 6 songs from his new album, Rainism for the launch.

Lee Hyori supports her fellow pop act by wearing head-to-toe rain gear, “Six to Five” at this clothing launch on December 23rd at KINTEX, Ilsan. We are betting that the clothes are probably styled in the same way as Puff Daddy/P.Diddy/Sean Combs’ line, “Sean John”.

가수와 배우로 월드스타 반열에 올라선 월드스타 비 (26) 가 패션 디자이너 겸 사업가로
성공에 대한 야심찬 포부를 밝혔다.

23일 경기도 일산 킨텍스에서 의류브랜드 '식스 투 파이브' 론칭쇼에 앞서 기자회견을 연 비는
"어릴적부터 옷을 만들고 싶었다. 사업가나 디자이너라 하기에는 무리가 있지만 주위의 많은
조언을 얻어 감히 도전하게 됐다" 고 말했다.

식스 투 파이브는 인간이 갖고있는 오감을 뛰어넘어 육감을 내포한다는 뜻으로
진취적인 감성과 시공을 초월하는 미래지향적 도전 정신을 상징하는 로켓을 심볼로 해
패션 피플의 감성을 만족시키겠다고 비는 설명했다.

그는 "컨셉트는 빈티지 앤 라이프" 라고 설명하며 "유럽피안과 아메리칸 스타일의 장점을 살려 전
세계인이 생활 속에서 공유할 수 있는 경쟁력 있는 브랜드를 구상했다. 특히 허벅지가
굵은 나처럼 하체에 콤플렉스를 지닌 사람들이 만족할 것이다" 고 자신감을 나타냈다.

내년 2월 온라인과 전국 10~15개 오프라인 매장을 설립하고 본격적으로 판매를 시작하며
중국을 중심으로 아시아 시장 진출도 박차를 가한다.

내년 국내 매출 100억원을 목표로 한다고 밝힌 비는 "예상보다 반응이 좋다. 겸손하게
목표 달성을 위해 노력하겟다" 며 "국내 의류사업이 어렵지만 위기가 곧 기회라는 생각으로 경쟁력을
키워가겠다" 고 말했다.

이날 행사는 미니 콘서트를 겸한 패션쇼로 2800여 명의 국내외 팬들이 행사장을 가득 채웠고 ,

이효리, 정준호, 김선아, 채림, 미셸 위, 서인영, 변정수, 박지윤 등 지인들도 대거 참석해
높은 관심을 나타냈다.

비는 자신의 브랜드 수트를 입고 'Fresh Woman' 'I Do' 'It's Raining' 'Love Story' 등 7곡을
불렀다.

비는 이달까지 국내 활동을 마무리한 후, 1월 아시아 지역 앨범 발표, 2월 미국 앨범작업에 돌입한다.

3월부터는 비가 주연을 맡은 할리우드 영화 '닌자 어쌔신' 홍보와 콘서트 투어를 진행할 계획이다.
