Rain's side indicated, "Through this new album, Rain will present various appearance to everybody that has never been seen in his past activities. There is a challenge on traditional ballade genre. In the past is mainly created as powerful on stage, but through this album will present Rain's strong and gentle images."
Rain selected 『romantic sensibility』 ballade song as the 'following song'. Rain used so on...to challenge ballade, but the matter with the 'following song' decided as ballade activity is an exception.
Staff said, "The 'following song' is a ballade song that speaks about man's love, is a romantic song. It has been a very long time that Rain did not meet his local fans, in order to show various appearance to everybody, currently he is working hard."

歌手RAIN Janus的魅力回來了。
RAIN時隔2年多發表的5輯的主打歌舞蹈，後續曲ballade首次亮相計劃暴露。RAIN面臨這次專輯的發售，最近在江南一帶一邊進行MV的拍攝一邊正忙著做回歸的準備。
RAIN的那方表明「RAIN通過這張專輯預計會首次在大家面前呈現出在以前活動中沒有看到過的多變的樣子。在那之中有一個是挑戰傳統的ballade體裁。以前主要被塑造成在舞台上很有力量，但通過這張專輯所展現出來的RAIN是強硬和溫柔並存的全面形象」。
據說RAIN 5輯發售的主打歌選擇了自己擅長的舞蹈類型。一位工作人員透露RAIN會讓FANS首次看到華麗的表演和令人刮目相看強而有力的節拍的舞蹈音樂。
RAIN隨即用後續曲選了首次亮相的『浪漫感性』ballade曲。RAIN在這張專輯中用<代替說再見>等來挑戰ballade，但用後續曲來決定ballade活動的事是個例外。
工作人員說「後續曲是談論男人的愛情的ballade歌曲。浪漫的歌曲。RAIN很久沒和國內的FANS見面，為了給大家看到多變的模樣，正在努力中。包括主打歌和後續曲在內都已完成」。
RAIN 10月正規5輯專輯發售，預計正式將和國內FANS見面。

I saw Rain in A cafe near HongEeck University.
He just sat down in front of me across at the glass wall, with his friend Baecka.
At first I didn't recognize him.
I had half a mind to get his autograph, but I could not get.
Because I felt he was in comfort with his friend and even brought his puppy.
It was pleasant surprised for me to see the big star like Rain.
Being the big star, he looked great-shaped.
He might freqently show up here.

Today I have been to J.Tune for the audition (Rain belongs to J.Tune)
I saw all of the trainees there... I didn't know who's who,
but the male trainee who really looked like Japanese,
another one who was dancing in JYP style,
the other one who closely resembled Super Junior's Ki-Bum (Super Junior : the Korea idol group),
and the female trainee who faintly resembled Maybe (Maybe : the Korea female singer).
Trainees four strong...
I saw at a glance that everybody looked like the typical entertainers...
All of the three men were over six ft tall..

I saw Rain.
He arrived at Incheon Airport for shooting music video,
but there were not proper places for them to rest.
They told us that they wanted to rent a room, so we said ok.
Then Rain was walking forward, surrounded by his staffs.
I couldn't see his face well because of the staffs.
He didn't even use the restroom, and also brushed his teeth in the room.
I thought they didn't want to see us hanging around for his position.
After changing into the suit, he came out by shielding his face with the training jacket.
We can see many entertainers on the credit side of here.
That´s one good thing, so I like here.

Top star Rain is looking forward for billions of additional income through as debut movie 'Speed Racer' tops DVD sales in North America.
According to America's internet site 'The numbers' that totals up box-office profits,
'Speed Racer' sold a total of 406,280 DVDs in a week since its release on September 16th,
and raised 8.4 million dollars (around 10.2 billion won), putting it on top the of chart on the 21st.
Rain, when staring in 'Speed Racer', made an agreement with Warner Brothers
about running guarantees that might occur in sales from DVDs and other merchandises.
Through this, Rain is bound to receive a portion of the DVD sale profit as running guarantee.
How much Rain will actually receive is unknown, but it is estimated to round up to billions of won.
The DVD sales of 'Speed Racer' in North America is looking bright to raise Rain's recognition.
In particular, Rain is scheduled to release an album in the American market next year,
and at the same time, to release his first Hollywood leading movie, 'Ninja Assassin',
which will bring positive results.

[Oct-01-2008] Osen - Rain's (26, Jung Ji-Hoon) 5th album to be released
Rain's agency said that "a teaser of 'Love Story' from Rain's 5th album will be released on the 2nd through online portals and music portal sites, such as Mnet.com."
The 'Love Story' of Rain and Ha Ji-won, which caught attention for shooting in Seoul's Apgujeong Rodeo Street and clubs in Gangnam will finally be released. This clip, in the form of 'music film', will contain a series of stories of a bad guy's love story where Rain will star as a Homme Fatale.
They agency added that "as much efforts have been put in to show Rain's real sides, the concept will be open to the public a lot." This music film, to be released through online portal sites such as Naver, Daum, Cyworld, and Mnet, will release the first teaser on the 2nd, followed by a 2nd teaser clip, music, and the final version respectively.

08.10.01[朝鮮日報日本版]Rain＆ハ・ジウォン共演のMV、2日に先行映像公開
極秘にレコーディングが進められてきた歌手Rainの5thアルバムが、いよいよそのベールを脱ぐ。
所属事務所の関係者は1日、「各ポータルサイトや音楽サイトにRainと女優ハ・ジウォンが共演する5thアルバム収録曲のミュージックビデオ『ラブストーリー』の先行映像を公開する」と明らかにした。
ミュージック・フィルム的な手法で撮影した『ラブストーリー』のMVは、一人の男の激しい愛を表現している。Rainが演じるのは最近話題のオム・ファタール（女をとりこにする魔性の男）だ。
関係者は「今回のミュージックビデオではRainの男らしさを見せることに全力を傾けた。先行映像公開後は、これまで極秘に準備してきたRainのニューアルバム関連情報を少しずつ皆さんに公開していく」と説明している。
Rainがハ・ジウォンと恋人役を演じているこのミュージックビデオは、先日ソウル市江南区狎鴎亭洞のロデオ・ストリートや江南のクラブで撮影された。2日の第1弾公開に続き、第2弾として映像や音源が順次公開される予定だ。
Rainの5thアルバムは10月中旬にリリースされる。ニューアルバム発売は2006年の『Rain's World』以来2年ぶり。

‘스피드 레이서’ DVD 판매차트 정상, 러닝개런티 계약…수억원 추가수입
톱스타 비가 할리우드 데뷔작 ‘스피드 레이서’의 DVD 북미지역 판매 호조로 억대의 가욋돈을 챙길 것으로 보인다.
영화흥행수입을 집계하는 미국의 인터넷 사이트 ‘더 넘버스’에 따르면 9월16일 미국과 캐나다에서 동시 발매된 ‘스피드 레이서’ DVD는 일주일 만에 모두 40만6280장이 판매돼 첫 주간매출 840만1383 달러(한화 약102억 원)를 올렸다.
‘스피드 레이서’는 같은 날 발매된 ‘메이브 오브 아너’(Made of Honor·37만1218장), ‘88 미니츠’(88 Minutes·23만79장), ‘러브 구루’(The Love Guru·18만8758장)를 여유 있게 따돌리고 발매 첫 주인 9월21일자 차트에서 1위를 차지했다.
비는 영화사 워너브라더스와 ‘스피드 레이서’ 출연계약을 맺으면서, DVD 등 머천다이즈 판매로 인해 발생하는 수입에 대한 러닝 개런티 조항을 넣었다. 이로 인해 비는 이번 DVD 판매수익금 중 일부를 러닝개런티로 받을 예정이다. 비가 받을 추가 개런티는 정확한 금액을 알 수 없지만, 수억 원을 받을 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.
비 소속사 제이튠 엔터테인먼트 측은 “비는 계약서 조항에 따라 러닝개런티를 받지만, 정확한 금액을 알기 위해선 여러 조건을 고려해야 하고 다소 복잡한 계산과정도 거친다”고 말했다.
‘스피드 레이서’의 북미지역 DVD 판매 1위는 비의 인지도 상승에도 좋은 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인다. 특히 비는 내년 미국 시장에 내놓을 음반 발표와 첫 할리우드 주연작 ‘닌자 어새신’ 개봉이 예정돼 있어 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
조엘 실버 제작, 워쇼스키 형제 감독 등으로 제작단계부터 화제를 뿌렸던 블록버스터 ‘스피드 레이서’는 개봉당시 ‘아이언 맨’에 이어 박스오피스 2위를 차지한 바 있어, 이번 DVD 판매 1위로 다소나마 체면을 세우게 됐다.
한편 비는 아시아 스페셜앨범 발표를 앞두고 컴백무대에서 선보일 춤 연습에 한창이다.

비 스페셜, 인종과 국경 넘는 전세계 팬클럽 공개

‘월드스타’라는 호칭에 걸맞게 비(Rain 본명 정지훈)의 팬은 아시아는 물론, 유럽, 미주, 심지어 남미까지 세계로 퍼져있다.
10일 방송되는 'MBC 스페셜 '비'가 오다(가제)'에서는 유럽, 아시아, 미주 각국의 팬들을 만나 인종과 문화에 상관없이 그들이 비를 좋아하는 이유와 정성 열정을 카메라에 담고 이들을 통해 비의 매력을 전한다.
유럽 팬클럽 회장을 맡고 있는 독일인 다니엘라씨는 초등학교 교사다. 그녀는 직접 만든 레인 티셔츠를 입고 다니며 자신의 학생들을 데리고 영화 '스피드 레이서'를 관람하는 등 유럽 안에서 비의 홍보대사 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있었다. 또 홍콩의 팬클럽 회원들은 비의 월드투어를 어디 할 것 없이 모두 따라다녔는데 그 때 든 비용만도 일인당 무려 3천만 원이 넘는다고 한다. '스피드 레이서'가 개봉할 때는 홍콩의 주요 일간지 두 곳에 직접 비용을 대고 전면 광고를 실어 제작진을 놀라게 했다.
일본과 국내에서 열린 비의 팬미팅 현장에는 비를 보기 위해 각 국에서 날아온 팬들이 한 자리에 모였다. 그들은 처음 만나는 사이임에도 불구하고 친목회라도 온 듯 서로의 안부를 물으며 즐거운 모습을 보였다.
비의 팬클럽은 ‘비를 매개로 한 국경을 넘는 우정과 친교’(Rain connects the world)를 모토로 네트워크를 구축하여 서로 끈끈한 정을 쌓고 친구 이상의 친밀한 유대관계를 형성하고 있었다.

1. 독점 공개! <닌자 어쌔신> 촬영 현장
지난 5월 워쇼스키 남매의 초특급 블록버스터 영화 <스피드 레이서>로 할리우드에 진출한 뒤 불과 두 번째 작품에서 헐리우드 주연을 따낸 비. 그의 미국 에이전시인 WMA에서는 헐리우드 예비스타 비를 위한 ‘레인 전담팀’까지 꾸렸다. ‘닌자 어쌔신’에서는 완벽한 닌자의 몸을 만들기 위해 영화 <300>에서 배우들의 몸 만들기를 담당했던 헐리우드의 전문 피지컬트레이닝 팀이 투입됐다. 하루 열 시간씩 혹독한 트레이닝을 받는 비의 ‘몸만들기’ 현장과 무술 훈련 모습, 그리고 영화 촬영이 계속되는 몇 달간 매끼 마다 철저한 식단으로 다이어트하고 있는 베를린 숙소에서의 비의 모습 등도 공개한다. 또 워너브라더스에서 MBC스페셜에 독점 제공한 <닌자 어쌔신>의 촬영 현장을 국내 최초로 공개한다.
“다이어트하고 몸 만드는 게 정말 고통스러웠어요. 처음에는 내가 이걸 왜 하고 있나. 라고 생각을 했는데 많은 헐리우드 연기자들이 이렇게 살을 빼고 몸을 가꾼다는 말에 그 사람도 했는데 내가 못할 게 있나 생각했죠.”

또한 <닌자 어쌔신> 촬영 현장에서 만난 제임스 맥테이그 감독, 함께 출연하는 배우 나오미 해리스, 워너브라더스의 거물 제작자 조엘 실버, 비의 미국 에이전시인 WMA의 부사장 존 매스, 배우 매튜 폭스 등 헐리우드의 인사들을 만나 비가 헐리우드 영화의 주인공이 될 수 있었던 배경과 헐리우드에서 배우로서 성공 가능성에 대한 이야기를 들어본다.
“영화 제작차 도쿄를 방문했을 때, 한 호텔에 머물고 있었는데 그 때 누군가를 기다리는 인파가 장사진을 이루고 있었다. 호텔 관계자에게 누가 오길래 이 난리법석이냐고 물었더니 ‘비’라는 한국스타가 온다는 것이었다. 처음 듣는 이름이었기에 그가 누군지 물었고, 그의 비디오를 구해 보았다. 비를 처음 알게 된 건 전적으로 호기심 때문이었다."

“비는 워쇼스키 형제가 원하는 동작을 재빨리, 그리고 정확히 이해해 냈다. 액션에 있어 어떤 천부적인 자질이 있다는 생각이 들었다. 물론 그가 춤을 추는 댄서였기 때문에 무술을 하는데 많은 도움이 됐을 것이라고 본다.”

“거짓말인 줄 알았어요. 밥 먹는데 워쇼스키 감독이 너 액션 영화 해 볼래 이러는 거예요. 그래서 주인공이 누구냐 했더니 저한테 손가락질을 하면서 You 이러는거예요. 에이, 거짓말하지 말라 라고 어떻게 주인공을 나를 쓰냐, 유명하지도 않는데. 그랬더니 네가 처음 나를 믿으라고 했을 때부터 이 배역을 너를 주려고 생각을 했었다 이러더라고요. 정말 몽둥이로 머리를 맞은 느낌이었어요.”

2. 월드스타 비의 팬클럽
‘월드스타’라는 호칭에 걸맞게 비의 팬은 아시아는 물론, 유럽, 미주, 심지어 남미까지 세계로 퍼져 있었다. 지난 6월 25일, 비의 생일 즈음에는 각 국에서 축하파티가 열렸다. 정작 비는 없지만 그들은 비를 위한 생일 축하 노래를 부르고 준비한 선물을 서로에게 공개했다.
제작진은 유럽, 아시아, 미주 각국의 팬들을 만나 인종과 문화에 상관없이 그들이 비를 좋아하는 이유와 정성, 열정을 카메라에 담았다.
유럽 팬클럽 회장을 맡고 있는 독일인 다니엘라씨는 초등학교 교사다. 그녀는 직접 만든 레인 티셔츠(비의 사진이 박힌)를 입고 다니며 자신의 학생들을 데리고 영화(스피드 레이서)를 관람하는 등 유럽 안에서 비의 홍보대사 역할을 톡톡히 하고 있었다. 그런가 하면 홍콩의 팬클럽 회원들은 비의 월드투어를 어디 할 것 없이 모두 따라다녔는데 그 때 든 비용만도 일인당 무려 3천만 원이 넘는다. 또 <스피드 레이서>가 개봉할 때는 홍콩의 주요 일간지 두 곳에 직접 비용을 대고 전면 광고를 실어 제작진을 놀라게 했다.
또 일본과 국내에서 열린 비의 팬미팅 현장에는 비를 보기 위해 각 국에서 날아온 팬들이 한 자리에 모였다. 그들은 처음 만나는 사이임에도 불구하고 친목회라도 온 듯 서로의 안부를 물으며 즐거운 모습을 보이고 있었다. 언어도 통하지 않는 이들이 어떻게 이토록 친밀한 관계를 맺고 있을까? 비의 팬클럽은 ‘Rain connects the world (비를 매개로 한 국경을 넘는 우정과 친교)'를 모토로 한 네트워크를 구축하여 서로 끈끈한 정을 쌓고 친구 이상의 친밀한 유대관계를 형성하고 있었다.
“레인 팬클럽은 누가 어디서 왔는가 하는 것들은 문제가 되지 않습니다. 저희의 연결고리는 단지 레인일 뿐이죠. 저는 싱가포르 팬을 만나 싱가포르에 여행을 가서 그녀의 집에서 지냈던 적도 있고 필리핀에서 온 팬을 3주간 저희 집에서 함께 지내게 해 준적도 있어요. 문화적, 종교적 차이를 뛰어 넘어 마음을 열고 모든 것들을 보고 듣게 되죠. 이 모든 것이 바로 레인의 힘입니다.”

3. 성공을 향해 쉼 없이 달리는 폭주기관차, 비
5집 앨범 녹음 및 안무 연습 현장에서 만난 비. ‘닌자 어쌔신’ 촬영을 마치고 6월 말 한국에 귀국한 그는 잠깐의 휴식도 없이 앨범 준비에 매달리고 있었다. 이번 5집 앨범은 비가 작사, 작곡, 프로듀싱까지 음반 전반에 걸쳐 참여했다. 박진영과 결별 후 발표하는 첫 앨범이기 때문에 본인에게는 남다를 수 밖에 없는데...
MBC스페셜에서 음반 녹음, 뮤직비디오 촬영, 안무 연습 등 컴백을 준비하는 전 과정을 최초로 공개한다.
“그 전의 음악 색깔을 벗는 것이 저한테 있어서는 하나의 과제였고 그 과제를 풀었다고 생각을 해요.”

08.10.01 [韓聯社] MBC電視臺將介紹Rain出道六年來的成功秘訣
韓聯社首爾10月1日電 歌手Rain近年來頻頻亮相國際舞臺，並作為代表亞洲的歌手，舉辦全球巡迴演唱會，進而通過影片《極速賽車手》成功進軍好萊塢影壇。
目前，Rain已經完成了影片《忍者殺手》（導演：沃卓斯基兄弟）的拍攝，該片將於明年在全球上映。而10月，他將推出亞洲特別專輯，重返國內歌壇。
2002年出道以來不斷奔向事業巔峰的Rain，在通往成功的十字路口，曾經做過哪些抉擇及採取哪些戰略？MBC電視臺《MBC Special》節目將在10日晚通過《Rain要到來》（暫名）特別節目，介紹在他成功背後的戰略抉擇和今後取得更多成功的可能性。
節目還將獨家公開《忍者殺手》的拍攝場景。為塑造完美的忍者身材而聘請好萊塢專業體能教練的過程、一天刻苦鍛鍊十個小時的過程，以及武術指導現場等，將通過該節目首次公開。
此外，節目組還通過採訪《忍者殺手》的製片人喬·西爾沃，了解了Rain主演好萊塢影片的背景，和他在好萊塢影壇取得成功的可能性。
西爾沃說：“在為影片的拍攝做籌備時曾訪問日本，當時看見酒店門前人山人海，一問酒店負責人才得知，一名韓國著名藝人將下榻這裡。由於第一次聽說有這樣一位藝人，就找了一張他的MV來看。”“第一次認識Rain純粹是出於好奇。”
演員馬修·福克斯則表示：“Rain很快就能作出沃卓斯基兄弟要求的動作，並完美呈現。我想，他在動作戲方面非常有天賦。”
Rain對此表示：“吃飯時，沃卓斯基兄弟突然問我‘想不想拍動作片’，當時還以為是開玩笑，後來問他‘誰演主角’，沒想到指著我說‘就是你’。當時腦子裏真的是一片空白。”
節目還將介紹遍佈全球各地的粉絲俱樂部。節目組走訪歐洲和亞洲各地，分析為何不同文化的各個人種，都來欣賞Rain。

5thアルバムで2年ぶりに歌手活動を再開するRainは、ドキュメンタリー番組『MBCスペシャル』への出演を決めた。
『MBCスペシャル』には先日イ・ヨンエが出演したが、芸能人がこの番組で取り上げられるのはかなり珍しく、注目されている。
同番組スタッフは、2002年に歌手デビューしてからこれまで6年間、人生で重要な岐路に立ったときの選択と戦略に注目し、番組制作に当たるという。
ドイツ・ベルリンの映画『ニンジャ・アサシン』撮影現場からニューアルバムのレコーディング現場まで、Rainを5カ月にわたり撮影。人生の新たなターニングポイントとなるこの二つの作品に取り組む様子が公開される。
また、番組スタッフが苦労して取材に成功したハリウッドの大物プロデューサー、ジョエル・シルバーやその関係者、日本とドイツのエンターテインメント業界関係者、世界各国のRainのファンクラブメンバーらとのインタビューを通じ、世界的なアーティストを目指すRainの可能性をあらためて検証する。

Rain Enlists Ha Ji Won for his 5th Album Comeback MV
Rain has unmasked his 5th album release.
Rain’s J.Tune Entertainment agent said, “On October 2, Rain’s 5th album song ‘Love Story’ teaser video and song will be released through online portals such as Mnet and other dot-com portal sites.”
The music video “Love Story” is finally being released after having been recently shot at Apgujeong’s Rodeo Drive in Kangnam, Seoul with Rain and Ha Ji Won. The ‘music film’ is about a bad man’s vicious love story as part of Rain’s planned series with his latest fashion ‘homme fetale,’ which bears exceptional features.
The agent also added, “Rain truly worked hard, and concentrated during the time he prepared this concept until it will be revealed to the public.”
This music film’s first teaser video will be released on October 2, as well as the music song for it.

비(Rain, 본명 정지훈)의 정규 5집 앨범이 베일을 벗는다.
비의 소속사 제이튠엔터테인먼트는 “2일 온라인 포털 및 엠넷 닷컴 등 음악 전문 포털 사이트를 통해 비의 5집 정규 앨범 수록곡 '러브 스토리' 뮤직 필름의 티저 영상을 선공개 한다”고 밝혔다.
최근 서울 압구정 로데오 거리와 강남의 클럽 등에서 갑작스러운 출몰로 관심을 모았던 비와 하지원의 ‘러브 스토리’가 드디어 공개되는 것. ‘뮤직 필름’으로 형식으로 알려진 영상은 나쁜 남자의 지독한 사랑이야기를 담은 비의 기획 시리즈 물로, 비는 최근 유행하는 ‘옴므 파탈’의 파격적인 모습을 선보일 것으로 전해졌다.
소속사는 이어 “진정한 비의 모습을 보여주기 위한 각고의 노력을 기울인 만큼 그 동안 준비해왔던 콘셉트를 대폭 공개해 나가겠다”고 말해 기대감을 고조시켰다.
온라인 포털 사이트를 통해 공개될 이번 뮤직 필름은 오는 2일 1차 티저 공개에 이어 2차 티저 영상과 음원, 완편 등이 순차적으로 공개될 예정이다.
