프로듀서 첫 작품, 실력파 10대 女솔로 가수로 낙점
“준비는 끝났다.”
지난해 2년 만에 국내 무대에 복귀해 센세이션을 일으켰던 톱스타 비(사진)가 올해 상반기엔 소속사 신인가수를 데뷔시키며 프로듀서로 정식 데뷔한다.
최근 비는 자신이 설립한 제이튠 엔터테인먼트 신인 1호 가수로 10대의 여자가수를 낙점했다. 이 가수의 데뷔곡은 이미 결정됐으며, 비는 공동 작곡가로 참여했다. 아울러 안무는 비 자신이 모두 맡았다.
비의 한 측근은 “이미 타이틀곡과 춤이 모두 결정됐다. 이 신인가수가 얼마나 노력해서 완전히 자기의 것으로 만드느냐에 따라 데뷔 시기기 결정될 것”이라고 말했다.
전 소속사 JYP 엔터테인먼트와 박진영을 떠난 비가 처음으로 선보이는 신인가수가 과연 어떤 실력을 갖춘 사람일지 초미의 관심이 그 동안 집중돼왔다. 비가 처음으로 선보일 신인 여가수는 춤 실력이 뛰어나고 노래와 랩에도 상당한 실력을 가진 것으로 알려졌다.
비는 2007년 9월 제이튠 엔터테인먼트를 설립하면서 오디션과 주위 추천을 통해 연습생들을 발탁했다.
이후 10대의 여자 솔로가수와 여성그룹, 남성그룹 등 세 팀의 신인가수를 훈련시켜왔다.
비는 지난해 11월 KBS 2TV ‘윤도현의 러브레터’에 출연해 “여자 솔로 한 명이 있고, 남자 다섯명 그룹이 있다. 또 여자 세 명의 힙합그룹이 있다. 후배들이 이르면 2009년 데뷔한다”고 구체적으로 밝혀 시청자들의 호기심을 자아낸 바 있다.
일본 도쿄와 오사카에서 잇따라 팬미팅을 마치고 15일 귀국한 비는 자신의 아시아 투어 준비와 함께 신인가수의 데뷔를 위해 신경을 집중할 예정이다.
한편 비는 이번 일본 팬미팅에서 모두 1만1000명을 동원하며 성황리에 새해 첫 공식 활동을 마무리했다.
