2009.01.10 The reason MBC Section Ent News

program's rating has been falling down.

MBC "Section ENT News" announced an unconfirmed report about various ranking of the song and film world to put the year's affairs straight last month 19th that Rain ranked the 5th as the most disappointed singer, the reason why his Rainism song had engendered a lot of controversy with its sensation in spite of his splendid comeback, and had never been ranked as the first, also, even the audience's response to his following song had not been particularly good.
But, his fans made an objection to it. Actually Rain had awarded SBS's "Mutizen Song Prize" as the first in two weeks since his comeback in spite of his short activity period.
For this reason, their protest statements have been appearing in MBC notice board everyday, like that, "Correct the false report", "Apologize to Rain about the unconfirmed report".
No wonder MBC "Section ENT News" rating has continuously decreased in recent weeks. Its yesterday rating was 4~5% percent down the show's average.

09 Jan 10 [Chosun] Past Incident of Rain Whipping His High School Teacher RevealedA past incident was revealed a few days ago when singer Rain (given name Jung Ji-hoon) whipped his teacher with his own teaching cane (or stick) back in high school. Rain's high school acting teacher Mr. Kim (don't know how to translate his full name) participated in the OBS TV program "Unique Performance News" (this is also a rough translation, don't know the actual name of the program). Mr Kim said, "There is a reason why Rain has not forgotten me. At that time there was a small performing group set up with 18 people, but afterwards only 5 were left, and at that time I thought even with this few people I must teach them well, so I used the whip. As long as I was carrying the whip they were able to produce unimaginable results, but I thought I should let them come to realize the truth themselves, so I enable the 5 of them to take turns holding the whip, and each of them hit me 5 times."

Mr. Kim smiled and said, "Besides Rain, the other 4 just put on a show and hit me gently, but Rain used a lot of force hitting me those 5 times, they hurt so much."

The 25 most Anticipated Movie of 2008

The 25 most Anticipated Movies of 2009
The movie is called Ninja Assassin, do I even have to say why we’re excited about this film? Hell, the film’s star is so badass his name is just Rain. Like Madonna, but if she were a ninja. And a dude. And Korean.
But seriously, this film follows a super bad ass assassin out for revenge against those who trained him, but then made the mistake of killing his best friend. The stunt work and fights are coming to you courtesy of 87 Eleven, the same guys who did 300, The Bourne Films, and The Matrix.
Expect this movie to have the most slice-and-dice sword action of the year as well as be a strong contender for a Best Fight nod at the end of the year, even against a lot of stiff competition. Sharpen your blades and hone your shuriken, because this is going to be bloody awesome.
Ninja Assassin looks like it'll be ninja action by the tones.

Hey folks, Harry here - a Facebook friend named David had the following up on his Facebook page from YouTube and I'll be damned if I've seen it before.

It's basically 5+ minutes of Training and Stunt Choreography for the next Wachowski produced James McTeague flick called NINJA ASSASSIN... Which sounds like a movie I'd want to see. I've yet to figure out why I should hate Rain yet, other than when he beat Colbert in a dance dance revolution challenge...

But I'm still convinced he new the programmer and made the most badass dancer lose by default. Thus dooming Colbert. But in the below footage, I have to say... He looks real john teshing good doing some really insane moves. Same as the other stunt folk.

The other thing that you can take from this footage is that it looks like they were practicing for long, Bruce Lee style tracking shots of massive sword fu chopping and kung fu. Beautiful work in the training phase, unless it gets all chopped to john tesh in editing. Let's hope not. Anyway - check this out. Very cool.... back to my DVD column I go...

Nija Assassin Behind scenes Fight Choreography.

Korean Popstar Rain caught the eye of the Brothers Wachowski while producing Speed Racer and is staring in their next action flick bringing us more of Korea’s hottest star. Check out this video of some of the fight scenes being practiced for their upcoming Ninja Assassin.

ScreenRant calls it: Ninja Assassin is the story of one of the world’s best assassins, Raizo (played by Korean pop star, Rain) who was trained to kill by a secret organization that later executes his best friend. Naturally, Raizo must avenge his friend’s death and the blood bath ensues.

You can’t really go wrong with a movie called Ninja Assassin, and this Rain guy looks like he is more than capable in the physical aspect of the movie. The action looks incredible, and this just might be what Rain needs to establish himself in the North American market. Then we can finally see what all the fuss is about.

Could I interest you in some ninja fighting?

I’ve been suspicious of those Wachowski brothers ever since they dropped the ball with those Matrix sequels. What a load of mini cooper. Oh yeah, "we have a trilogy of scripts". My ass, you do. You two were clearly making it up as you went along. And what’s was that Speed Racer business all about?

True, you’re only producing Ninja Assassin just like you only produced V For Vendetta, but your name on any project still seems to sell scripts. Also, based on this stunt/martial arts training reel for James McTeague’s upcoming Ninja Assassin, I’m willing to cut you a little slack. This is really, really cool.

Be sure to stick around for the whole thing. The money shot features a chain weapon around the neck that is exceptionally sweet. Ninja Assassin stars Korean pop sensation, Rain, who also starred in Chan Wook Park’s last feature, I’m A Cyborg But That’s Okay as a deadly ninja who turns on his clan when his friend is killed by the very same clan.

Paths cross with a Europol agent trying to track down the ninjas and stop them. Sounds like fairly standard ninja revenge fare but it’s nice to see it set in a contemporary setting and not srar Michael Dudikoff. I usually frown on all flash and no substance kinds of movies but if you can maintain a solid action pace throughout and deliver exciting stunts, I’m usually very forgiving. Don’t let me down, Ninja Assassin.

Ninja Assassin Fight Choreography

I caught this while reading some news with my morning coffee, and thought it was way cool! It's a quick training video showing some work by stunt team 87eleven (they worked on 300, Watchmen, Matrix, and the Bourne Films). They were training for the upcoming release produced by the Wachowski Brothers and directed by James McTeigue called Ninja Assassin - very cool.

Ninja Assassin follows Raizo (Rain), one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth.

But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge. In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders.

Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated. Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to survive and finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.

Fight like a 'Ninja Assassin'

This is a must watch if you have any interest at all in action films, martial arts, sword combat or parkour. Film got a hold of a behind-the-scenes video of the fight choreography training for the upcoming Ninja Assassin movie. The video features the infamous 87 Eleven stunt performing/coordination and martial arts training group who also worked on hit action movies 300, the Bourne films and this year’s Watchmen (hopefully this year).

They do amazing work and are becoming more and more involved in some of the biggest action films around.Ninja Assassin is the story of one of the world’s best assassins, Raizo (played by Korean pop star, Rain) who was trained to kill by a secret organization that later executes his best friend. Naturally, Raizo must avenge his friend’s death and the blood bath ensues.

Take a look at some of the action sequences you can expect to see in the film:And that’s just the fight training! This movie is going to be bad ass and I’m definitely going to see it just based on this. The action sequences look incredible and they’re obviously putting tons of work into it to make it flow and look real – "real" as in based on earth’s gravity and people actually performing these moves naturally and not like in Romeo Must Die or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon where a person can jump and kick multiple people while changing and reversing his direction in midair.

You know what I Mean!Does this make you want to see the film?Ninja Assassin does not have a confirmed release date as of yet but is expected to hit theaters in the second half of 2009. It is directed by James McTeigue (Speed Racer, V for Vendetta).
