[마이데일리 = 강지훈 기자] 다큐멘터리 채널 디스커버리에서 제작한 가수 겸 연기자 비와 영화배우 이병헌이 출연한 서울 홍보 다큐멘터리가 무려 430억원의 홍보 효과를 본 것으로 분석됐다.
서울시는 14일 오전 '아이디어가 돈이다' 주제로 열린 제31회 고객감동 창의발표회에서 서울시가 디스커버리 채널에 제안해 제작한 50분 분량의 서울 홍보 다큐멘터리 2편으로 서울시가 약 430억원의 광고비를 쓴 것과 같은 효과를 봤다고 밝혔다. 이 금액은 다큐멘터리가 방영될 국가들의 평균 광고 단가를 토대로 산출한 것이다.
서울시 홍보기획관에 따르면 지난해 제작돼 올해 초부터 방영을 시작한 이 다큐멘터리는 앞으로 약 170개국에서 소개될 예정이다. 국제적으로 인지도 있는 한국의 스타를 통해 서울의 인지도와 이미지를 높였다는 평가를 받고 있다.
지난 1월부터 호주 등에서 방영되고 있는 비 편에서 비는 절친한 연예인인 김제동과 술잔을 기울이며 속마음을 털어놓는 모습, 고인인 어머니를 모신 납골당을 찾아가 어머니와의 추억을 되새기는 등의 모습을 공개하며 인간적인 면모를 보여줬다.
오는 6월 방영할 예정인 이병헌 편에서는 서울 청계천과 명동을 배경으로 한류스타인 이병헌의 연기에 대한 열정을 카메라에 담았다.
