Suffering from allegations deriving from the cancellation of concerts, South Korean singer Rain is not only under investigation while his properties are at stake, but he has been moved to his own tears. According to an internet source, Rain once disclosed to a friend that he has no self-will to vent to his fans.

Due to their concern the fans have pour out much support, and Rain has only been able stand back and watch with his own eyes. He recently expressed to a friend, “Because everyone is paying so much attention to me, I am unable to say to my friends and fans around me that ‘I am suffering’, and if I say I am in pain, what will happen to them? I’m like the head of the household, I feel like I’m a father of 60 children.”

Prior to his debut, Rain lived poorly, and his mother died at a young age; hence fostering an astonishing will within him. He said, “If I were to die so easily now, then I would not have arrived here today relying on my own, so please do not worry.” His management company has also clarified that the property ‘freeze’ and such are only rumors, and mentioned of an appeal once again in view of the Hawaiian lawsuit. Fans have also launched an action of support; initiating official online fund-raising for their idol to publish ads in newspapers in various countries to cheer Rain on.

04.01.09 [UPaper] Rain Knelt Before Doctor Begging To Save His Mother

 

Until today, young Asian “Son of Heaven” Rain has difficulty getting over the emotions of the passing of his mother. While attending a certain conversational program, he ‘exploded’ when he was asked of the time he remembered the most when he had the most grief; saying that in order to treat his mother’s illness, he once knelt begging the doctor, but only resulting in a slap on the face (Deb’s note: don’t think this is literal here, probably just meant that he was turned away by the doctor, but I could be wrong).

Based on what the Korean media pointed out, Rain had disclosed in the program that when he was in his third year of high school, his mother was seriously ill, and originally she should have been able to obtain prompt treatment, but because she was incapable of paying for the treatment fee, she was disregarded by the doctor who said she must pay the money first before he could rescue her. He (Rain) knelt down begging for the doctor to help, but instead was slapped on the face. That evening, the landlord also evicted him and his younger sister out of their house. Wanting his younger sister to think that she could depend on him, he secretly hid in the bathroom while biting down on a piece of towel to hide his burst of tears.

Apart from feeling extremely regretful and blaming himself over the passing of his mother, Rain can’t help but also be thankful to his aunt and kind teacher Park Jin-young who offered him help during those times. He also expressed that after experiencing such a difficult time, it has enabled him to treasure everything that is before him during this present time.

Rain confident of winning appeal

Korean artiste Rain recently lost his court case against Hawaii concert organizer Click Entertainment; his current artiste management company said they will reveal the truth behind the cancellation in the hearing of the appeal and is very confident that they will win the appeal.

The Hawaiian organizer raised legal proceedings in both Korea and Hawaii against Rain and his ex artiste management office for cancelling his Hawaii concert two years ago. Korean judicial office expounded that the concert was cancelled because the stage prepared by the Hawaiian entertainment company was "unsafe"; if performance was carried on by force, they would face serious consequences.

"The security problems brought up by the concert planner can be verified through the email correspondences between them and the Hawaiian concert director. We have filed an appeal; the second trial will reveal more truth."
According to sources, the second trial will take place in California and three magistrates will replace the jury in making the final ruling.

Rain's current artiste management office has also revealed that the result of the first hearing has not affected Rain in his work progress. "At the moment, there are no changes in Rain's work arrangements. The date of release of Hollywood blockbuster "Ninja Assassin" and his overseas work schedule have also been confirmed."

Singer Rain still under a cloud

Pop singer Rain, 26, faces yet another suit worth 4.5 billion won, this
time from a Korean event organizing agency over canceled concerts in
the United States.
The Seoul Central District Court yesterday said entertainment
company Wellmade StarM Inc. has filed a suit against Rain (Jung
Ji-hoon) and his former agency JYP Entertainment for damages.
Wellmade StarM argues that it paid Rain 10 billion won between
2006 and 2007 for concerts in the United States, but that 16 of the 35
shows were canceled due to business mishandling by JYP.

Earlier last month, Rain and his managers were ordered to pay over $8
million in damages to promoters in Hawaii for canceling a 2007 concert
in Honolulu.

A similar lawsuit was also recently filed in Los Angeles, where Rain's concert was canceled just hours before the starting time.
