2009.04.27 The World's Most Influential Person Is...
In a stunning result, the winner of the third annual TIME 100 poll and new owner of the title World's Most Influential Person is moot. The 21-year-old college student and founder of the online community 4chan.org, whose real name is Christopher Poole, received 16,794,368 votes and an average influence rating of 90 (out of a possible 100) to handily beat the likes of Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and Oprah Winfrey. To put the magnitude of the upset in perspective, it's worth noting that everyone moot beat out actually has a job.
Since moot launched 4chan.org in 2003, the site has given birth to Internet memes as diverse as Lolcats and Rickrolling. 4chan averages 13 million page views a day and 5.6 million visitors a month; by some estimates it is the second largest bulletin board in the world. (See the TIME 100 finalists.)
For proof of moot's influence on the Web, one need look no further than the TIME 100 poll results. While Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao got a larger vote total (20,391,818), the runner-up for the title of World's Most Influential Person, Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim, received a mere 47 on the influence scale. Moot denies knowing about any concerted plan by his followers to influence the poll, though TIME.com's technical team did detect and extinguish several attempts to hack the vote. Undoubtedly, many people will question moot's worthiness of the title World's Most Influential Person. TIME.com managing editor Josh Tyrangiel says moot is no less deserving than previous title holders like Nintendo video-game designer Shigeru Miyamoto (2007) and Korean pop star Rain (2006). "I would remind anyone who doubts the results that this is an Internet poll," he says. "Doubting the results is kind of the point."

5월 26일까지 진행되는 ‘5월 고객 감사 이벤트’ 기간 중에는 1만 5000원 이상 구매 고객에게 C.Anaconda, AK-47, TRG-21, 무한자유플러스, 즉시리스폰 등의 게임 아이템을 선물한다.

또한 1만 5000원, 3만원, 4만원 구매 고객 중 각각 50명을 추첨해 구매 금액의 50%를 넷마블 캐시로 돌려 준다. 누적금액에 따라 최대 3번까지 선물받기 참여가 가능하다.

CJ인터넷은 이와 더불어 국내 FPS 게임 중 최초로 선보이는 시리즈 맵인 ‘스톤 캐슬(점령)’의 2차 업데이트를진행하고, 관련 경품 이벤트를 실시한다.

3월에 처음 공개된 시리즈 맵 ‘스톤 캐슬’은 이번 업데이트를 통해 전작에서 숨겨진 맵을 공개한다. 업데이트된 ‘스톤 캐슬(점령)’에서 게임을 즐기면, 10회, 30회, 50회 등 플레이 횟수에 따라 추첨을 통해 경품이 제공된다.

Singer Rain's fans acted up to their affection for needy neighbors with big hands.

The Cloud's members, Rain's official fan club, donated articles which are equivalent to approximately
14 million won (around $10,500) to Dongbang Social Welfare Organ in memory of Rain's 7th debut anniversary.

The fan club interested expressed, "We've come to plan to be beneficent to the community in memory of Rain's
7 th debut anniversary. These articles were prepared by the money saved through making a united effort of Korea&Japan fans, and they are the layettes that are essential to babies."

The articles will be used for the babies who have been waiting for new home in a temporary home for infants, and for the children who have been looking after in Jacob's Home, due to sickness, poverty, and noninterference of their family.
