who was working out and rigorously being trained for about a year, said
as, "I just had half a notion to play in MMA (K1)contest during Ninja
Assassin shot. That's why even actor Mickey Rourke might begin boxing on
his acting."

"But I was aware that's the wrong idea that is what I would live as a
pro K1 player with giving up my other things to do. I thought I would
never do such a thing because I found it too hard to be trained.
I'm keeping a sword, which was used during Ninja Assassin shot, in my house, and I feel to get rid of my stress each time I gaze at it." he said with a laugh.

비는 26일 경희대 평화의전당에서 연 '2009 레인스 글로벌 팬미팅 인 서울-레인 시어터'에서 할리우드 첫 주연 영화인 '닌자 암살자'의 예고편을 공개하고 이런 후일담을 전했다.
11월25일 세계 전역에서 개봉할 '닌자 암살자'는 전쟁고아인 라이조(Raizo, 비)가 오즈누(Ozunu)라는 조직에 의해 암살자로 키워지지만, 어린 시절 좋아했던 친구의 죽음이 이 조직에 의한 것이라는 사실을 알고 도망쳐 복수한다는 내용이다.
1년가량 몸을 단련시키며 혹독한 훈련을 했던 비는 "훈련할 당시 격투기 대회에 나갈 생각도 했다"며 "할리우드 배우 미키 루크가 한창 연기를 하던 중 복싱을 시작한 것도 그런 이유가 아닐까 생각했다"고 말했다.

가수 비는 연애 중?…소속사 단순 해프닝 해명

가수 겸 연기자 비(정지훈·27)가 자신의 팬 미팅에서 사랑하고 있다고 깜짝 발언을 해 혼란을 야기시켰다.
비는 26일 서울 동대문구 경희대학교 평화의 전당에서 가진 자신의 글로벌 팬 미팅에서 “현재 연애하고 있다”며 “아무도 모르는 곳에서 진행 중이다”고 밝혔다. 하지만, 그는 이내 알듯 모를 듯 한 미소를 지으며 “왜 내가 말하면 안 믿지”라며 “심지어 주위 측근들에게 말해도 믿질 않는다”고 덧붙였다. 이에 팬들은 “우리를 버리지 말라”라고 성화를 부렸다.
당시 사회를 맡았던 김제동은 비의 깜짝 발언에 “하지만 이례적으로 이 같은 상황에서 연예인들은 ‘팬들에게 사랑받고 있다’고 한다”며 서둘러 화제를 돌리는 노련함을 발휘했다.
소속사 관계자는 “당일 비의 발언은 단순 해프닝일 뿐”이라며 “그냥 장난삼아 팬들을 좋아하는 마음을 돌려 말한 것일 뿐”이라고 일축했다. 하지만, 당시 정황과 팬들의 반응을 살펴볼 때 ‘아니 땐 굴뚝에 연기날까’라는 속담이 떠오르는 광경이었다.

On July 26, 2009, Rain had his seventh fan meeting at Kyung-hee University (Seoul Campus). For us, it was an adventure in itself to get to the fan meeting. After a grueling day of heading toward the Su-won campus, which is about 1.5 hours driving distance from the Seoul campus then back to the main city, we were finally able to get a glimpse of what Magic Feet was all about.
From students ranging from kids as young as eight to grandmas (from Japan) up to the age of ninety, it seems like Rain attracted fans from all age groups.
With Kim Jae-dong as his MC once again, Rain was ready to take on, not only his fans, but all the letters and video clips that were presented during the entire program.
The older people enjoyed the Q&A with him, while the younger audiences were thrilled to hear more about his future world tour, as well as seeing him perform his hit song “Rainism“. For me, I was more interested by the fact that there were so many females from all different parts of Asia with the firm belief that he’ll never marry for the sake of his fans…seriously.
With a special guest appearance from G.O.D. member, Kim Tae-woo, fans were able to receive an endless amount of entertainment from the event.
Overall, it was a well-organized fan meeting that left fans wanting Rain more than ever before and showing me the scary power of the Clouds. With the closing of this event, however, the only things fans have to look forward to in the not-so-distant future are his world concert beginning the end of August in Japan and his “Ninja Assassin” movie promotion in November.

26일 오후 3시 경희대학교 평화의 전당에서 가수 겸 연기자 비의 <2009 레인스 글로벌 팬미팅 인 서울>이 열렸다. 지난해에 이어 1년여 만에 열린 비의 팬미팅에는 한국, 중국, 일본을 비롯해 홍콩, 말레이시아, 필리핀, 태국, 타이완, 마카오, 미국 등 각 나라에서 모여든 10대부터 80대까지 다양한 연령대의 팬 3천여 명이 참석했다.
‘Rain Theater’라는 부제를 달고 방송인 김제동의 사회로 진행되고 가수 김태우가 게스트로 참여한 이 날 팬미팅에서 비는 ‘Fresh woman’, ‘I do’, ‘Rainism’ 등의 무대를 선보였으며 약 한 시간가량의 토크를 통해 “예전에 오디션을 보러 다니던 신인 시절에는 쌍꺼풀 수술을 하고 오라거나 춤을 추기에는 키가 너무 커서 안 된다는 말을 듣기도 했다”는 이야기를 비롯해 “나는 내 얼굴에 만족하며 살려고 하지만 이 얼굴에 키라도 커서 다행이라고 생각 한다”는 농담을 던지기도 했다. 또, 한국과 아시아, 미국 할리우드를 오가며 바쁘게 사는 이유에 대해서는 “실패를 두려워하면 아무 것도 할 수 없다. 하지만 실패를 한 번 하면 그만큼 성공과 더 가까워진다”는 지론을 폈으며 20대 후반의 나이인 지금은 “이십대는 선물(present)임과 동시에 현실이다. 이십대에 해볼 것, 안 해볼 것을 다 해보고 나면 삼십 대 부터는 나 자신과 가까운 사람들을 지킬 수 있다고 생각 한다”고 말했다.
“<닌자 어쌔신>은 피를 토하며 트레이닝했던 작품”
팬미팅에서는 그동안 비가 출연했던 <상두야 학교 가자>, <풀 하우스>, 영화 <사이보그지만 괜찮아> 등의 명장면을 비롯해 비의 첫 할리우드 주연작으로 11월 25일 개봉을 앞두고 있는 영화 <닌자 어쌔신>의 예고편도 상영되었다. “지금까지 (예고편을) 수백 번 봤다”면서도 팬들과 함께 또다시 영상을 관람한 비는 “워너 브라더스사에서 처음 시사회를 할 때 ‘Rain’이라는 이름이 자막에 뜨는 걸 보는 순간 주체할 수 없이 눈물이 났다”고 털어놓으며 “피를 토하며 트레이닝했던 작품이고, 흥행이 어떻게 될지는 모르겠지만 이런 작품에 출연했다는 게 감동적”이라는 소감을 밝혔다. 특히 “<닌자 어쌔신>에 대해서만큼은 겸손하고 싶지 않다”는 말로 자신감을 드러낸 비는 “힘들 때는 나에 대한 안티성 기사를 찾아 읽거나 내 또래의 외국 배우들이 쌓아온 커리어를 비교해본다”며 더 큰 무대에 대한 여전한 욕심을 보이기도 했다. 한편, 8월 29일부터 시작되는 일본 콘서트로 아시아 투어 ‘Legend of Rainism’의 막을 여는 비는 “타이틀은 거창하지만 이번 투어는 팬들과 커뮤니케이션을 최대한 많이 하는 공연이 될 것”이라 설명하며 “100번 얘기하는 것보다 한번 (직접 와서) 보는 게 나을 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
