South Korean star singer Bi Rain delighted fans when as an M.C, he joined other performers and danced at the Korea-Vietnam military concert at the Hanoi Opera House last night, VnExpress Newswire reported.

Bi Rain, whose real name is Kim Ji Hoon, continued to be the M.C of the 2nd military concert held as part of a series of activities to celebrate 20 years of the two country’s diplomatic relation.

Bi Rain, a famous pop singer, actor and dancer, is serving in the Korean Army at the moment and thus didn’t perform on his trip to Vietnam.

As the M.C of all of the events held by the Korean Ministry of National Defense in Vietnam, Bi Rain appeared in uniform throughout the trip and was enthusiastically cheered by loyal fans.

Last night, as he joined fellow singers Park Hyo Shin, Choi Jin and Kang Chang Mo who are also serving in the military, Bi Rain made his fans wild with excitement.

He told local fans he would come back to Vietnam to perform after he was discharged from the army. “But I also hope that K-pop fans will pay more attention to our K-classic, a more intellectual musical genre,” he said.

Last night’s concert also featured the Korean National Military Symphony Orchestra playing the two country’s national anthems as well as famous traditional songs such as South Korea’s “Arirang” or Vietnam’s “Trong Com”.

Why are K-pop stars?




The perfect example of the answer to this question was the military symphony
orchestra's concert in Vietnam's Hanoi.
The 6 soldiers of Defense Agency for Public Information Services participated in the
concert, sparing no effort in performing on stage as the real missionary of Korean military
culture. The outcome surpassed their expectations, which did much to improve the
relationship between South Korea and Vietnam.
The concert did go as smoothly while "Jung Ji Hoon" and "Kim Ji Hoon", the
smooth talkers, were the MCs of it.

For the last few days, many girls carrying banners reading ‘Bineunim (Bi (Rain) +God) had
gathered in front of a hotel at which the military symphonist stayed, who visited Vietnam
in honor of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nation.
The anecdote about Pfc 'Jung Ji Hoon' (Rain) made people realize how popular he was.
His popularity was absolute even when their concerts in Army Theater and Opera House
were held on the 19th and 21th, respectively.

Whenever he came out in short bursts to emcee, fans chanted his name and acclaimed
him, which might explain why they call him a world star..

Pfc 'Jung Ji Hoon', the sensational soldier, was in a strong position to introduce our
