It was recently revealed that Rain will not be attending the ‘2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards‘ (MAMA).
A J.Tune representative revealed on November 15th, “Due to ongoing filming schedules for his drama, ‘Fugitive‘, Rain is unable to attend the ‘2010 MAMA’.”
The ‘2010 MAMA’ is being billed by Mnet as one of the biggest award shows in Asia; it’s also being brought overseas for the first time in its history, as the venue is located in Macau for November 28th.
The show has already been hit with a consistent string of controversies, as many artists (such as CNBLUE) have been withdrawing their participation from the program. SM Entertainment has yet to respond about whether or not their artists will be attending this event, but it seems more likely than not that they will be missing it once again this year.

[김수지 기자] 가수 비와 엠블랙이 2010 Mnet 'Asian Music Awards(이하 MAMA)'에 불참한다.
비는 'MAMA'에서 '널 붙잡을 노래'로 남자 가수상과 BEST 댄스 퍼포먼스 솔로 부문에 올랐고, 같은 소속사 남성 그룹 엠블랙 역시 'Y'로 남자 그룹상, BEST 댄스 퍼포먼스 그룹 부문에 이름을 올렸다.
비 소속사 제이튠 측은 "KBS 2TV '도망자 Plan B' 촬영으로 'MAMA'에 불참하게 됐다"고 밝혔다. 이어 엠블랙의 참가 여부에 대해서도 "내년 초 앨범 작업 스케줄 상 참석이 어려울 것 같다"고 전했다.
한편 11월28일 마카오에서 열리는 2010 Mnet 'MAMA'는 비와 엠블랙을 비롯해 소녀시대, 슈퍼주니어, 씨엔블루 등이 불참할 계획이다.

‘도망자’ 김형종 “비 정지훈 고생한만큼 더 잘되길” (인터뷰①)

“촬영장 분위기가 좋아도 이렇게 좋을 수가 없다. 종영을 해도 출연진과 오래오래 만날 수 있을 것 같다.”
후 뉴스엔 취재진과 만나 촬영현장의 훈훈한 분위기에 대해 언급했다.
‘시청률이 초반보다 떨어져 촬영장 분위기가 좀 쳐지지 않냐’는 기자의 질문에 김형종은 두 팔을 세차게 내저으며 정색했
다. 김형종은 “촬영장 분위기가 너무 좋다. 내가 많은 작품을 해 왔지만 이번 만큼 좋은 적도 별로 없었다”며 “오랜 시간동
안 해외촬영을 하다보니 배우들과도 너무 많이 친해졌다”고 말했다.
이어 김형종은 ‘도망자’의 주역 비(정지훈)에 대한 칭찬을 입이 마르도록 계속 이어나갔다.
“사실 정지훈과 같이 ‘도망자’를 하기 전까지는 정지훈이 얼마나 열심히 하는 사람인지 몰랐는데 같이 작업을 하면서 대단
한 사람이란 걸 알게됐다. 일을 열심히 하고 성실히 하는 것도 맞지만 사람 자체가 선하다. 특히 해외에서 자주 술자리를
하면서 솔직한 얘기가 많이 오갔는데 그것을 계기로 정지훈이 믿음직한 사람이란 걸 알게됐다. 정지훈은 ‘대인’이다. 그간
고생했던 것만큼 더 잘됐으면 좋겠다.”
통사고까지 액땜을 제대로 치른 셈이 됐다.
“우리 드라마가 정말 잘되려나 보다. 지금은 시청률이 초반보다 낮아지긴 했지만 계속 상승세를 이어나갈 조짐을 보이고
있다. 이렇게 쭉 가다보면 20%에 도달할 수 있을 것 같다. 시청률이 뭔 소용이냐. 제작진과 출연진이 만족할만한 작품을 만
들고 매 신에 최선을 다하면 되는 것이다.”
‘도망자’는 각종 우여곡절 속에 애틋한 러브라인을 비롯해 멜기덱을 해치우기 위한 추격전 등의 다양한 스토리라인으로 시
청자들을 긴장하게 만들고 있다. 이 안에서 김형종의 열연 역시 눈에 띈다. 마니아들의 호평 속에 승승장구하고 있는 ‘도망
자’가 각종 악재를 극복하고 수목극의 왕좌로 등극할 수 있을지 귀추가 주목된다.

A representative from the J.Tune camp let media know today that Rain will not be participating nor attending the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) this year. Because of filming for the KBS2 drama “Fugitive Plan B,” Rain cannot make time for the awards show, although he was initially in the list of performers.
Being one of the biggest, most popular, and most successful acts of 2010, Kpop fans everywhere are wondering what kind of awards show it will be without the world star present. Rain will not be the only one left out. According to their severed ties with Mnet, SM Entertainment groups, including Super Junior, Girls Generation, and SHINee, will also not be participating. On the other hand, 2NE1, 2PM, and Miss A, along with others, have already confirmed they will be in present for the 2010 MAMA.
For Korea’s largest Kpop entertainment music channel, it’s a little disappointing that they are missing out many of 2010′s largest acts. Be it bad timing or politics, fans are already a little disappointed in how incomplete this year’s awards will be. They’ll probably just try to spice it up with some hype about a kiss between a young idol star and an aging idol diva… Just a guess (following the trends of 2008, 2009).
The 2010 MAMA will be held in Macau’s Venetian Hotel on the 28th. Are you still looking forward to Mnet’s end-of-the-year show?

[15-Nov-10][KBS]Couples Confirm Love, Trust in ‘The Fugitive’

Love and trust are growing between the protagonists in the KBS2 blockbuster show “The Fugitive: Plan B.”
In the November 11 episode, Do-soo (Lee Jung-jin), a police investigator, feels frustrated and angry after finding out his boss let Yang Doo-hee (Song Jae-ho) get away with murder. He quits his job and goes to the Philippines with the gold he confiscated from Yang’s group.
Yoon So-ran (Yun Jin-seo), a fellow investigator who has fallen in love with Do-soo, is worried and at the same time angry because he left without saying a word to her. She later receives a letter from him and goes to find him. She, feeling betrayed, handcuffs him when she finds him and tries to bring him back. But Do-soo confesses his true love for her.
Meanwhile, Ji-woo (Rain) and Ji-ni (Lee Na-young), who tracked Do-soo down to the Philippines for the gold, watch Do-soo and So-ran hide. Seeing Ji-ni yawning, Ji-woo says they should go to bed. Ji-ni tells him that he should choose to sleep on the sofa or the floor or in a separate room. Ji-woo replies he doesn’t want any of them and suggests they stay up all night watching Do-soo and So-ran.
Soon Ji-ni, who has had difficulty sleeping at night due to a fear that she may be attacked during sleep, falls asleep leaning against Ji-woo, who takes her to the bed and kisses her on the cheek.
Now tension is building up over the gold as the good and the evil sides are all doing everything they can to grasp the gold Do-soo has before anybody else.
“The Fugitive” airs every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS2 at 9:55 p.m.
