Tudtam, hogy ránézésre nem tűnök valami nagy számnak, a megjelenésem sem túl vonzó, de a bensőm elég rendkívüli. Minden színpadra lépés előtt azt mondom magamnak, hogy én vagyok a legjobb, és minden előadás után ugyanúgy azt, hogy nem én vagyok. Ezért minden fellépés előtt 120 százalékosan kell felkészülnöm, hogy az előadáson 100 százalékos teljesítményt tudjak nyújtani. Ennek érdekében minden álló nap folyamatosan képzem magam. Már nagyon hosszú ideje alváshiányban szenvedek, mert ha éppen nem dolgozom, akkor vagy edzek, vagy a koreográfiákat és a dalokat próbálom. Éppen úgy, mint a filmfelvételek idején, ha valamit nem csináltam jól, képtelen vagyok aludni. Akár színészként, akár énekesként, a legjobbat kell tudnom kihozni magamból. De nem kell aggódni, hogy most nincs elegendő időm az alvásra, jut arra majd bőven a halálom után. (Rain)

K-Pop Star Rain To Join SK Military

K-pop megastar Rain is set to join the South Korean military on Oct. 11 for compulsory service, according to news reports.

The 29-year-old singer and actor had delayed his service for a year in order to complete his master’s degree at Dankook University.

Rain appeared in “Speed Racer” in 2008 before starring in “Ninja Assassin” the following year.

AFP reported that Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-Hoon, will undergo basic training at Uijeongbu just north of Seoul before he begins his 22-month military service.
“I will be serving in the army… the date was finalized this morning,” he wrote on his website, adding he does not yet know where he will serve. “I thank you all for supporting me for the past 10 years.”
Rain will hold a free farewell concert in the Apgujeong neighborhood of Seoul’s Gangnam District on Oct. 9, according to The Hankyoreh.
The K-pop star has reportedly expressed his willingness to perform free for residents, since he has been a publicity ambassador for the [Gangnam Ward Office] and wanted to show the public his gratitude for his stardom before he joins the army.

Famous Hallyu star Rain will be enlisting in the Korean military on October 11th, but before then, he plans to personally reach out and communicate with his fans as much as he can.

On September 23rd, a representative from Rain’s agency stated through a phone interview, “He’s going to be extremely busy between now and the time he actually enlists. It looks like he won’t have any time off before then. He wants to meet with as many fans as possible.”

Rain will be performing a concert on the 24th at Seoul’s Olympic Hall and will also hold a free concert in the streets of Gangnam on October 9th.

His agency continued, “Other than his concert, he also has a few endorsement advertisements lined up, as well as filming for his movie ‘Emergency‘, and a few music recordings… He will not be able to attend the Busan Film Festival due to his jam-packed schedule.”
Rain had also initially scheduled a press conference in regards to his concert on the 24th, but that has been cancelled as he has too much on his plate for the short amount of time he has left.

The singer announced his enlistment via his official website and stated, “I’m not sure where I’ll be assigned to as an active duty soldier, but I should find out this afternoon. I have been able to accomplish so much, thanks to all of your love and support. I’ve been so blessed, thank you.”

- How do you feel before entering the army?

- What will you do with yourself until you enter the army?
Rain : Actually, I have a heap of work to do..It might take a while even to arrange the work of my past years..
For now, I should get the job involving the 'Flight : Close to The Sun' shooting done..I still have some post synchronizations to be done even if filming has been completed...There will be a lot of advance publicity for the new film, but I don't have much time.
I'm also working on my next album as a small gift for my fans.

- There was even a rumour you were going to join the air force.
Rain : There is no reason why I'm trying to be on the active list in the army..
I just want to serve in the army ordinarily.

- What do you want to do privately?
Rain : I'll visit my late mother's grave and pay my respects to her.

- What are your plans after leaving the army?
Rain : I am being offered a lot of roles from Hollywood..Many works in hollywood I put off will be talked about after serving in the army.
