Superstar Rain, also known as Jung Jihoon, will be dropping by Singapore on May 22 as part of his The Best 2011 Rain Asia Tour.
The concert will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium at 7pm on Sunday, May 22 and this will be Rain’s first live performance in the country since 2007.
Rain will be performing various hit songs from his singing career. The singer has chosen a “green” theme for each leg of his concert and he will be promoting water conservation in the Singapore leg of the tour.
A spectacular 2.5-minute rain scene will be portrayed during the concert using almost 1,000 liters of water. The water will be collected and recycled to water plants in order to conserve water.
Tickets for the concert in Singapore will go on sale at SISTIC outlets and website starting May 3.
For more information on the concert, do contact the organizers. The concert is jointly organized by Korea’s J Tune Entertainment and CJ Entertainment as well as Singapore’s Faith & D Entertainment.

The highly anticipated TIME 100 list has finally been released, and two of the youngest, and no doubt most talented, men on the list are both international pop stars — Justin Bieber and Rain! 17-year-old Justin has had quite a year, and it’s only April! He released his 3-D movie Never Say Never to major box office bucks, is in the middle of an international tour and went public with his much discussed relationship with Selena Gomez. We wonder what else he has in store for the year!
Rain, 28, has also had a crazy year. For the third year in a row Rain won the voter poll for the TIME list, beating out Lady Gaga and even President Obama! Rain also snagged an MTV Movie Award for his role in Ninja Assassin and remains one of the most beloved actors and singers in South Korea.

Previously unknown newsmakers from Egypt and Japan joined pop stars and politicians on Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world, released on Thursday.
The list includes pop culture giants such as Justin Bieber and Oprah Winfrey plus the lesser known Wael Ghonim, an Egyptian Internet activist who helped topple President Hosni Mubarak, and Takeshi Kanno, a Japanese doctor who refused to leave behind victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
“We’ve always, always tried to tell stories through people. … We discovered it was a fantastic way to get people to think about what’s going on all over the world,” said Time deputy managing editor Michael Elliott.

World leaders such as British Prime Minister David Cameron, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff populate the list for how they have wielded power.
“The first time I met David Cameron, I knew we were political soul mates,” actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote in a profile for Time, calling him “a centrist who avoids the gutters of politics.”
Others include Gabrielle Giffords, the American congresswoman who survived a bullet wound to the head during a gunman’s rampage in Arizona, and Michele Bachmann, the Republican congresswoman from Minnesota who has energized the anti-tax, anti-spending Tea Party movement.
Jailed Chinese artist Ai Weiwei was honored for his “bravery and artistic skill,” Elliott said.
From the world of sport, Argentina soccer phenomenon Lionel Messi was joined by Indian cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whose charisma and leadership united an ethnically diverse team that won the World Cup.
South Korean pop star Rain won the people’s choice vote for the third straight year. Time editors chose the names on the list except for people’s choice, selected by online voters.
“He has very determined fans,” Elliott said.

As world star Rain has become the first Asian to be twice selected as one of the World's Most Influential People by the Time magazine after ranking top in its 100 Poll this year, he is being congratulated from his fans all over the world.
Before this, in the 2011 Time 100 Poll that closed officially as of midnight on 14 April, Rain took first place, maintaining dominant position in the list of 203 candidates after beating out Jay Chou (second), Susan Boyle (third) and so on.
As a result, he is scheduled to leave the country at 19:30pm on 24 April at the invitation of an official party hosted by the Time 100 to be held on 26 April in New York.
The party will be attended by prominent figures from around the world included in the Time 100, including the American First Lady Michelle Obama and Rain. He is expected to return home at 17:35pm on 28 April in order to film movie 'Red Muffler' as scheduled.
