11.06.09 [Asia Economy] Rain’s Fascinating Actions Get Passing Mark At NA Premiere In Korea
Rain has turned Ninja, and has returned to us.
His impressive and marvelous actions were definitely notable in his hollywood leading movie Ninja Assassin which was unveiled through its advance screening at CGV theater in Seoul city’s Wangsipli on the 6th.
Rain who has joined the hollywood through the Wachowski brothers’ movie ‘Speed Racer’, is certainly expected to engrave himself in the hollywood moviegoers’ brains after Ninja Assassin.
Rain successfully carried out his dynamic and amazing acting scenes under the direction of James Mcteigue who probably shows his ability to be more improved than ever.
In the movie, Rain who plays the character of ninja who got scars all the way down his body due to a long hard training, showed his sturdy appearance, but oddly enough, the delicate contour of his face seemed to be harmony with the appearance.
In particular, you can guess an awful lot of effort of Rain including real stunt actions without any camera tricks or visual sense.
The hero who was trained as the most deadly ninja in the world by an organization, finally came to risk his hide and to fight against them after they executed his close friend.
The overall fascinating actions are expected to grip the minds of million of action enthusiasts even if the movie has a simple story line.
Rain’s final confrontation with the ninja organization’s boss who trained him, is quite breathtaking.
Rain awfully expressed the feelings and emotions of the hero who is adept at the dark, which was very impressive.
Rain has been known to receive special training for 5 hours a day, including total-body fitness workouts for a hour a day, over the last six months, to act the character of Raizo in the movie.
Stunt choreographer ‘Chad Stahelski’ praised Rain for his hard actions, “When we started shooting the movie, Rain already surpassed all the levels of actions which were first created by us.”
Internationally famous producer ‘Joel Silver’ who did this movie, spoke highly of Rain, “Rain has a remarkable talent as an actor and is very clever, first of all, he has great dedication to his work. You can’t take your eyes off the movie because his magnetic personality to attract people directs the screening all the way throughout it.”

7일 뉴스위크 최신호에 따르면 뉴스위크는 '한국, 할리우드를 점령하다'(Korea Takes Hollywood)라는 제목 의 기사에서 한국 배우들이 미국의 TV와 영화에서 주목을 받기 시작했다고 보도했다.
뉴스위크는 "2004년 '로스트 '의 김윤진과 다니엘 대 킴에 이어 '그레이 아나토미' 의 산드라 오, '히어로즈'의 제임스 카이슨 리가 스타트를 끊었다"며 "올해에는 한국계 미국인 다니엘 헤니가 영화 '엑스맨 탄생:울버린'에 등장했다"고 밝혔다.
뉴스위크는 이어 "이병헌은 'G.I.조'에서 스톰 쉐도우 역을 맡았으며 '스타트렉'의 존 조는 ABC드라마 '플래시 포워드'에서 FBI 요원으로 나오고 있다"고 덧붙였다.
