최고 스타일 아이콘? 비 "엣지녀 김혜수"
[TV리포트] 월드스타 비가 ‘2009 Style Icon Awards Seoul(2009 스타일 아이콘 어워즈 서울)’과의 인터뷰에서 ‘엣지녀’ 김혜수를 대한민국 최고의 스타일 아이콘으로 꼽아 화제다.
‘스타일 아이콘 어워즈’는 아시아 최고의 문화 콘텐츠 기업 CJ미디어가 사회, 문화, 예술 분야에서 트렌드와 스타일을 주도한 인물에게 수여하는 시상식으로, 지난 2008년 제1회 Icon of the Year(아이콘 오브 더 이어) 수상자인 가수 비가 2009년 행사를 축하하는 인터뷰를 통해 이같이 밝힌 것. 비의 인터뷰 내용은 오는 21일 수요일 밤 9시 ‘tvN ENEWS’를 통해 방송된다.
이 날 비는 “늘 새로운 도전을 하고 새로운 유행을 만들어 내는 스타일에 관한한 최고의 스타가 아닌가 싶다”며 “연기도 마찬가지, 김혜수 선배가 최고”라고 존경심을 표했다.
사실 김혜수와 비의 깊은(?) 인연은 이미 세간에 널리 알려져 있다. 한 시상식 축하무대에서 비가 김혜수만 빼먹은 채 여배우 모두에게 꽃을 나눠주는 실례를 범해 이슈가 됐었고, 그 후 다음 해 시상식에서 사과의 의미로 비가 김혜수에게 커다란 꽃다발을 선사하며 훈훈한 화해와 함께 다시 한 번 큰 화제를 낳은 바 있다.
그런가하면 비는 ‘2009 스타일 아이콘 어워즈 서울’에서 ‘아름다운 나눔을 통해 진정한 스타일을 실천하자’는 취지로 진행중인 뷰티풀 셰어링 캠페인(Beautiful Sharing Campaign)과 관련하여 “언젠가 자선단체를 만들어 어려운 이들을 돕는 것이 나의 오래된 꿈”이라고 밝혔다. 이어 “연예인의 재능과 끼를 갖춘 아이들을 후원하고 싶다”고 털어놔 눈길을 끌기도 했다.
또한 결식아동에 대해 큰 관심을 보이며 “물질적인 나눔뿐만 아니라 따뜻한 마음의 나눔이 이뤄질 때 진정한 아름다운 나눔이 가능하다”고 소신을 밝혔다. 아래는 인터뷰를 통해 공개된 비의 발언.
“매년 불우이웃을 위한 행사를 열어 작은 나눔을 실천 중이다. 앞으로는 돈을 많이 모아서 춤과 노래, 재능은 갖췄지만 물질적으로 부족해 힘들어하는 아이들을 후원하는 하나의 자선단체를 만들어 큰 나눔을 실천하고 싶다. 그것이 자신이 열심히 일하고 있는 큰 목적 중의 하나다.”

올댓시네마 측은 "국내 매체와 마찬가지로 아시아 각국 매체들로부터 참가 신청을 받고 있다. 현재 40여 개 매체가 신청을 했다. 아직 마무리되지 않은 만큼 참가를 원하는 매체가 더 늘어날 전망이다"고 말했다.

Rain picks Kim Hye-soo as top style icon
Asian pop sensation Rain said he thinks actress Kim Hye-soo is the top style icon.
The 27-year-old singer and actor made the remark during an interview with the Style Icon Awards Seoul, an event hosted by CJ Media which recognizes a trend and style leader in society, culture and the arts. Rain was handed the Icon of the Year award at the ceremony last year now entering its second year.
"I think Kim is the best star in terms of style because she is always challenging herself and always creates new trends," Rain said of the actress who had recently appeared as a stylish Editor-in-Chief in TV series "Style".
Online and mobile polls are underway to pick the winner of the 2009 Icon of the Year. The ceremony, taking place for five hours on November 11, will be aired lived on cable channels Olive, tvN and XTM.

I was so delighted I won 'Best Style Icon' last year, and I'd like to thank you again for awarding the prize.
Q : who do you think is the top style icon?
Rain : I think actress 'Kim Hye-Soo' is the top star in terms of style, because she is always challenging herself and always creates new trends.
Q : I know you have a short episode which makes people laugh, related to her.
Rain : In 2004 during a film award, I was so nervous that I made a big mistake about her. At that time, I thought she was a male star because she was wearing trousers. Later, I was able to make up for the mistake, bringing her a bunch of flowers in another film awards.
Q : What do you think is a real style?
Rain : I think it's the vitamin of life.
Q : How do you think we can pursuit it ?
Rain : First we should feel comfortable with the clothing we have on.
And, I believe that the most important thing is not the expensive clothes but the well-proportioned figure that will help you look gorgeous anytime, no matter what you're wearing.
Q : What do you think about Seoul city?
Rain : I think Seoul is the best city in the world because there is no such city anywhere in the world as the water runs through its center.
Q: What do you think about 'Sharing'?
Rain ; I think mental sharing is more important than material one.
In my case, I've held some events that will help unfortunate neighbors at the end of every year. Later, I'd like to help to encourage the unfortunate teenagers, who have the making of a singer and a dancer, in order to use their talents, establishing a foundation for them, that's why I've worked hard and saved money.
I'd very much like to do such thing if I have the need to help in ten or twenty years.
Q : What do you think about starving children?
Rain : I've heard much about them, thinking the situation is serious, so I'm trying to help them as much as I can.
Rain indeed can be called just a real all-round star who is going over the border between genre and nationality in this age. Hopefully, he'll keep on challenging and acting as a star who has boundless potentialities and will realize his dream.
