After previous columns reviewing the branch interactions: combinations, trines and clashes, let's continue our study about the penalty in branches.
The penalty is a certain abnormal energy that is stimulated by the over-flooding power of trine energy. Described in Taiji theory of yin and yang at the highest concentration of one side, the other side constitutes the cause of penalty in branch interactions.
Since it is inflated energy, it boils over to the inclusions of the branches in penalty.
Among many penalty groups, in-sa-sin and chuk-sul-mi penalties are critical in influencing one's fate.
Here is the saju of a Korean celebrity, who is popular around Asia.
Rain, whose Korean name is Jung Ji-hoon, is the lead star of the upcoming Hollywood film ``Ninja Assassin,'' which will be released November. When he made his Hollywood debut in ``Speed Racer'' (2008), a film written and directed by Andy and Larry Wachowski, he was already a K-pop superstar.
Rain gained popularity throughout Asia through Korean dramas such as ``Full House'' as well as his R&B and dance songs. In 2006, he topped an online poll of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the world. In 2008, he appeared in the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics.
Next month, he will kick off his Asian tour ``Legend of Rainism.''
He had continued his successful career until a multi-million dollar lawsuit for the abrupt cancellation of his world tour concerts, was filed by Star M, a domestic concert promotion company.
Let's see what happened to his saju.
He was born June 25, 1982.
As seen in his saju, he was born with the energy of gi (yin earth) and he has strong knowledge star in month pillar. The sul earth of year branch is a root of gi-day master, which has a penalty starting this year (gi-chuk) from the chuk-sul penalty.
Knowledge star means a person's reputation, so he can continue to gain popularity. However, the penalty of chuk-sul is still a troublesome hindrance this year.
Last year, year of mu-ja, he had ja-o clash between the 2008 year branch and his month branch. So we can say that this year's lawsuit case could have been caused by last year's incident.
As explained previously, the clash and combination are not generated when they are placed apart but the penalty is made even though they are not located next to each other. It is because the clash and combination are phenomenal when they meet physically, but the penalty is something, such as the reaction caused by the energy.
In the above example 1, there is a penalty of in-sa-sin. Then gap wood (day master) will have certain abnormal phenomenon in its friend, expression and career stars. In other words, there can be unexpected happenings, obstacles or accidents in these stars or its relevant family members.
For example, when it comes to an expression star (sa fire), this person will have difficulty in determining his occupation and mapping his future.
But the penalty is not always the bad fortune. It is just an abnormal social phenomenon. It could be mean becoming an overnight millionaire, gaining unexpected fortune or receiving a sudden high score in the test. Even though the results are positive in the end, it can be accompanied by pain or difficulty along the way.
The penalty can be made although there are only two letters, such as sul-mi in saju as above. The damage is not as big as that of the full three letters, chuk-sul-mi. Sometimes the half penalty as seen in example 2 may cause more gains than losses. But it is a penalty anyway, and one could have some cumbersome experience during one's life.
The gain of the penalty effect is certain consequence that the person doesn't want. Putting it simple, for example, the person had lunch and he feels full, but his friend suddenly calls him to treat a special lunch at a decent restaurant.
It is still a gain because he has a chance to have a great lunch but it is not such a welcome situation.
In above example, sul mi earth is the money stars for gap wood (day master). If gap wood is a man, this person has difficulties in dating with a lady he loves. Or he may bump into a girlfriend by chance or break up with a girlfriend unexpectedly.
Penalty is something the self recognizes well. For example, it is a bad habit that I know it is bad but hard to correct.

Taegoon does Rain’s “I do” for Countdown Heroes
Having just made his return recently with
his 3rd mini album, Taegoon not only performed his title song, Betrayed
on the 24th September episode of Mnet's M! Countdown but he also
participated in the Countdown Heroes segment.
In the Countdown Heroes segment, Taegoon who has been often dubbed as 'the next Rain', did a shortened version of global star, Rain's 2004 hit song, I do which is unusual since most would choose to do covers of his more energetic dance tracks. Besides doing a competent job with the song, Taegoon also had a short dance break at the end. Check it out.

group GOD's member, was once on leave during serving in the army, and he
entirely had to pay for the meal that was much more expensive than his
monthly salary after sharing a dinner with Rain.
While KBS TV's 'Joy Enter News' program was being recorded, 'Kim Tae-Woo' expressed that there was a story behind it.
At that time, Rain suggested some idea to him, " I'll pay for the meal, and can you call me as Hyung?"
