‘데뷔 15주년’ 비, 컴백 특집 방송 확정…‘더유닛’ 콜라보 [공식]

[TV리포트=박귀임 기자] 가수 비가 15년 가수 인생을 담은 컴백 특집 방송 ‘2017 RAIN IS BACK’을 펼친다.
비는 내달 3일 방송 예정인 KBS2 단독 컴백 특집방송 ‘2017 RAIN IS BACK’에서 새 미니앨범 ‘MY LIFE 愛 마이 라이프’ 신곡 무대를 공개 한다.
‘2017 RAIN IS BACK’은 올해 데뷔 15주년을 맞은 비의 역대 히트곡을 총망라한 레전드급 무대 기획, 비만이 선보일 수 있는 강렬한 무대로 약 60분간 꾸며진다. 여전히 국내 유일무이한 남성 솔로 아티스트로 꼽히는 가수 비의 진면목을 관람할 수 있을 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
또한, 비는 새 앨범 타이틀 신곡 무대를 ‘더유닛’ 후배들과 컬래버레이션 로 펼칠 예정. 이는 평소 애정을 갖고 지켜보던 후배들과의 의미 있는 무대경험을 만들어 주고 싶던 비의 아이디어로 성사됐다.
현재 비는 앨범 막바지 작업에 한창인 가운데, 컴백 특집 방송 기획부터 연출까지 모든 과정에 직접 참여하며, 만반의 준비를 하고 있다.
비의 소속사 레인컴퍼니는 “이번 단독 컴백 방송에서는 그간 비가 단독 콘서트에서만 선보였던 퍼포먼스 무대를 방송에서 선보일 예정”이라며 “1시간의 짧은 시간이지만 가수 비의 지난 15년을 압축해 어디에서도 볼 수 없는 컴백 방송을 보여드릴 것”이라 전했다.
한편 ‘2017 RAIN IS BACK’ 녹화는 오는 11월 21일 오후 8시 서울 여의도 KBS홀에서 진행된다.

KBS To Broadcast Exclusive Comeback Show For Rain
Rain is set to enthrall fans with a special comeback broadcast called “2017 RAIN IS BACK” that will look back on his career as a singer for the past 15 years.
“2017 RAIN IS BACK” will air exclusively on KBS 2TV on December 3 and Rain is currently planning a legendary 60-minute performance that will include all of his greatest hits. Rain has earned the title of being one of the greatest male solo artists of Korea throughout his 15 years as a singer, and he is set to bring his signature charisma and charm to the stage.
The singer is also preparing a collaboration performance of his upcoming comeback title track with contestants from KBS’s “The Unit.” The idea came from Rain himself, who wanted to give his juniors a meaningful experience on stage as he has been watching over them as their mentor.
Rain is currently finalizing his comeback mini album, and he is said to have personally participated in the production process of the comeback show. Rain Company stated, “Through the upcoming comeback show, Rain will be showcasing performances that fans were previously only able to enjoy by attending his solo concerts. One hour may seem like a short amount of time, but Rain is ready to put on a show like never before that showcases his 15 years as a singer.”
“2017 RAIN IS BACK” will be recorded on November 21 at 8 p.m. KST at the KBS Hall in Yeoido, Seoul, and the show will be aired on KBS 2TV on December 3. Rain’s new mini album “My Life” will be released on December 1.

Top entertainers move toward Volvo XC90 SUV

A number of the nation's top celebrities are choosing the large-size 2017 Volvo XC90 SUV, not only for the vehicle's safety but for its enhanced design and improved performance, symbolizing the Swedish carmaker's triumphant return to the market.
Korean wave star Rain and his wife Kim Tae-hee bought an XC90 SUV after Kim gave birth to their first daughter last month. Actor Jo In-sung also bought two XC90 SUVs, one for himself and the other for his father.
Guitarist Lee Sang-soon and his wife, singer Lee Hyo-ri, also decided to buy an XC90 after they drove a model through a sponsorship deal for a TV show. Actor couple Yeon Jung-hoon and Han Ga-in also sold their car to buy an XC90 after Han had a baby last year.
Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Land Rover have long been chosen as the so-called "celeb cars," but this trend is likely to change as Volvo came back to the market with its enhanced safety and performance.
Introduced in July last year, the Volvo XC90 has since enjoyed surging popularity here as 1,670 have been sold through this September.
Inheriting the carmaker's long fame in safety, the latest XC90 SUV is improved in performance while it features Volvo's latest technologies in self-driving.
The XC90 comes with three different engine choices _ a 2.0-liter D5 in-line V4 diesel engine, a 2.0-liter T6 V4 gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter T8 gasoline engine with a plug-in hybrid motor.
The model with the D5 diesel engine produces a maximum 235 horsepower with 48.9 kg.m of torque. It takes 7.8 seconds to reach 100 kilometers per hour with mileage of 11.9 kilometers per liter. It produces 161 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
The T6 engine generates a maximum of 320 horsepower with 40.8 kg.m of torque to reach 100 kilometers per hour in 6.5 seconds. It's mileage is 8.8 kilometers per liter while producing 300 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
The T8 gasoline engine with the plug-in hybrid motor produces a maximum of 313 horsepower with a 40.8 kg.m torque in the gasoline mode. Under the plug-in hybrid mode, the vehicle generates 87 horsepower with a 24.5 kg.m torque. It takes 6.5 seconds to reach 100 kilometers per hour.
In the gasoline mode, the XC90 SUV gets mileage of 10.9 kilometers per liter in the gasoline mode while it can travel 21 kilometers in the plug-in mode when the battery is fully charged. It only produces 64 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
The three models feature the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Volvo's latest safety technologies such as the roll-over protection system, rear collision warning and lane keeping assistance are all included as base options. The XC90 SUV also has three different types of airbag systems _ the double-phase, side and IC curtain airbag.
The XC90 SUV's whiplash protection system in the seats is designed to protect passengers from neck and back injuries.
Volvo has also demonstrated its advancements in design.
The Volvo XC90's front was refurbished with T-shaped daylight headlamps that touch the widened grille in the front, similar to Audi's front design. The model's rear inherited the Volvo's characteristic tail lamps.
The model's sides emphasize its dynamic character by applying an elevated belt line.
The interior sports various natural materials such as driftwood to differentiate itself from competing models in the market. The nine-inch infotainment system in the center fascia has been enhanced by enlarging its font size for increased readability.
The 2017 XC90 SUV is priced between 80.3 million won ($72,069) and 137.8 million won.

Rain may join drama "Sketch - Drama"

Singer and actor Rain, who recently became a father, might come back with a drama.
According to Rain Company, Rain is considering an offer for the JTBC drama "Sketch - Drama". With his musical comeback next month, he's currently busy with recording and preparations. If he decides to star in "Sketch - Drama", this will be his first come back in two years.
Rain became a father to a little girl last month with wife Kim Tae-hee whom he married in January of this year.
He plans on showing his face as much as possible. He recently starred as MC for the KBS 2TV "Idol Rebooting Project, The Unit". His comeback date is the first of December.
Meanwhile, "Sketch - Drama" is a miniseries action drama about people who struggle to change their fate. It is written by Kang Hyeon-seong. Rain was offered the role of Kang Dong-soo, an elite detective with great analyzing skills.
