RANDOM KÉP
Angelina Jolie, Rain Battle For Biggest Badass Star At MTV Movie Awards
Sam Worthington, Chris Pine and Channing Tatum will also throw down in the category at Sunday's show.
There are some new categories this year at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, including Biggest Badass Star — and no, it's not unnatural that you're intimidated by this addition to the competitive lineup. After all, when talking about an assortment of characters ranging from a betrayed super-spy to a big blue alien, it's more than understandable to find yourself in awe.
There's Chris Pine for starters — he portrayed "Star Trek" leading man James T. Kirk, a Star Fleet graduate who is light-years ahead of his class in terms of intellect, bravery and skill, even if his cocksure attitude frequently lowers his reputation in the eyes of his contemporaries. The real question is, how will voters react to the character's signature arrogance?
Even if Pine can command a starship crew, is he capable of staving off the vicious warrior played by Rain in "Ninja Assassin," the action flick produced by the Wachowski siblings? As the silent killer Raizo, the South Korean pop sensation pursued his fictional mentor with a bloodlust rarely seen in modern mainstream cinema. But are moviegoers on board with Raizo's quest for vengeance?
He's not the only one out to settle a score, as Angelina Jolie is also a candidate for Biggest Badass Star. No stranger to playing badasses, in the upcoming "Salt" she's an agent betrayed by her own government and forced to clear her name.
If Jolie's Salt is a questionable quantity in her country's eyes, there's no denying who the real American hero is of these nominees: none other than Channing Tatum, who played the courageous Duke in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." While Duke's loyalties are unquestionable, his Boy Scout level of commitment to upholding rules could ultimately cost him in the race towards Biggest Badass.
In the end, if there's one thing these four contenders can agree upon, it's this: Sam Worthington has a major advantage thanks to two separate badass roles this year in "Avatar" and "Clash of the Titans." But in the Australian actor's defense, both human-turned-alien-warrior Jake Sully and the partially godlike Perseus truly were two of the most undisputed badasses of the year — can anyone really hold those performances against Worthington?
Don't miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News' "Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards," airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then stay tuned for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

[DongA] Jeon Ji-hyun Turns Down “Fugitive” With Rain
As soon as Rain confirmed his drama comeback in Runaway (the next project from Chuno’s writer-director team), speculation arose about who would be cast as his leading lady, and Jeon Ji-hyun’s name rose to the top of lists as a likely prospect. However, a source with her management company, Sidus HQ, has now stated that Jeon has declined the offer.
Now Lee Na-young’s name is being discussed as a top possibility, which was confirmed by her management, BOF, who stated on June 3 that although no decision has been made, they are looking favorably at the prospect. If she accepts, this would be Lee’s second time working with writer Chun Sung-il; Chun is the head of Harimao Pictures, which produced her recent film Dad Likes Women, a heartwarming family comedy in which she played a transgender character. (The character fathered a child while a man, but doesn’t know of the child’s existence until he comes knocking on her door, only to find that Dad is now a woman.) It would also be her first television drama role since Ireland in 2004, which she did after making a splash in the huge mania hit Ruler of Your Own World in 2002.
Runaway is planned for a late-September or early-October broadcast, which means that producers are in a hurry to lock down casting and begin filming soon.

Battle of the Fans: Rain vs Angelina

CALLING ALL CLOUDS! There is an entertainment site called ‘Hollywood Life‘ that is doing their own polls for the Mtv Movie Awards, and as it stands now ANGELINA JOLIE is in the lead for Biggest Badass Star! On top of that, they say Angelina is a shoo-in for this award and they disregard Rain as any sort of competition by stating,’Rain (whoever that may be)‘. They also go on to say:
“As for Biggest Badass Star, dudes like Channing Tatum, Chris Pine, Rain and Sam Worthington are SOL — there is NO ONE, and I repeat, NO ONE more badass than Angelina Jolie! I mean, who else could shimmy into a latex Tomb Raider costume like Angie, 34? Exactly. None of these guys!”
I think that although this vote doesn’t count towards the real Mtv votes, us Clouds should show them just who Rain is!!!!
