Q 1: How are you doing after your being transferred in?
[Rain] : I was serving as a teaching assistant before, but now I'm serving as one member of a support group in Defense Agency for Public Information Services after my first/second term teaching assistant, and I'm really excited by the thought of being able to help many soldiers.

Q 2 : You were specially promoted one rank after you were selected as an ultra warrior. How did that make you feel?
[Rain] : I think that Korean under obligation to protect the country, young men must go to army. For this reason, I adapted quickly to the new circumstance from the first and I passed the training courses well, and the reason why I tried to be an ultra warrior was because I wanted to get a reward vacation probably like everyone else.
Actually, I'm not much of a hand at long-distance running. But deciding to bite the bullet, I obtained a good result in running even though I was all in as if internal organs poured from the stomach while having a long run. As a result, I became an ultra warrior. I think I have a genius for shooting to some fortunately. I was accepted as a good shot, that's why I became an ultra warrior. I had not suffered in vain and had a wonderful time.

Q 3: What were you thinking on the first day of your enlistment?
[Rain] : During my term for duty, I had a lot on my mind thinking I would be loyal to my own country as a soldier, not as one of the ordinary people. So it was not too hard to get adjusted to the military.

Q 4: What do you remember the most while being trained?
[Rain] : I remember everything in minute detail. I'd like to talk to you about a couple of things. There was a sense of comradeship between us. Especially, while soldiers belonging to the 2nd and 3rd recruit training centers were making a long march over 100 kilometers of road, I was able to confirm their teamwork and fragile bond in times of trouble. I have many memories like that.

Q 5: In what way were those teaching assistants selected? How did you feel during your work as a teaching assistant?
[Rain] : It is possible for all soldiers to apply to the position, but only those who could be in the position usually are recruited after being interviewed. At first I thought it would be easy to teach others, but I am sure it was the hardest work among the departments because I had to set a good example to recruits while taking a couple of month course in a study on teaching assistant. I had to pass the examination to get credit for the course. Even though I put on a badge showing my being a teaching assistant was credited, I had to keep studying, and I had to go to bed a couple of hours later or get up an hour earlier, contrary to others. The position was attended with much difficulty because I had to set a good example to recruits.

Q 6: Tell me how you have changed since the enlistment?
[Rain] : I have a newfound sense of patriotism, I feel as if I have to fulfill military duty spontaneously, and the thought of doing a good thing fills me with pride.

[Rain] ; I made a career for myself in singing and acting in society before my enlistment, but it can be a good experience to be the host of a radio program by becoming a DJ here. I'd like to be the host of a radio program if time allows despite being probably busy.

[Rain] :As a member of the support group, I'll tell many people about what soldiers are doing and how their work is rewarding, and I'll be Pfc “Jung Ji Hoon" who gives you lots of support (or who are your pride and joy)
