On December 27th, JYP Entertainment announced, ‘JYP Entertainment and its employees have become the biggest shareholder of J.Tune Entertainment via third party shares allotment.‘
JYPE continued, ‘Some time ago, J.Tunes’ talent Rain approached JYPE producer Park Jin Young with a proposal. Until he joins the army next year, Rain will focus solely on his singing and acting activities. He has requested that JYPE be in charge of his company’s management.‘
Both sides revealed, ‘JYPE’s shareholders had the same suggestion as Rain’s, and the proposal was completed after the review.’

Rain Opens Up About How It Feels To Make His Long-Awaited Comeback As A Singer

Rain recently opened up about making a comeback as a singer.
He appeared on MBC’s “Section TV” on December 3 to discuss a wide variety of topics and celebrate his 15th anniversary as a singer.
On how he felt about his recent comeback with “Gang,” Rain replied, “For the past four years, I’ve been busy with other things. I shot two dramas and did a few productions in China. But people kept telling me that they missed seeing my powerful performances on stage. So I went back to the mindset I first had 15 years ago and I worked really hard for this comeback. ‘Gang’ is the story of my life for the past 15 years.”
When asked whether it felt awkward to stand on stage again for the first time in a while, Rain said that it felt like coming home. He explained, “If I don’t work hard, I won’t be able to keep up with the younger singers. I at least wanted to show them what I can do as their senior.”
Rain recently made his comeback with his new mini album “My Life” on December 1. Don’t forget to check out the music video for his new title track “Gang.”
Park Jin Young Talks About Rain’s Memorable JYP Audition And Once Crying At Rain’s Acceptance Speech

Producer Park Jin Young opened up about his affection for Rain.
During Rain’s comeback special show “Rain is Back,” which aired on KBS 2TV on December 3, Park Jin Young appeared on the show to talk about his friendship with Rain.
Rain’s music career started with him entering JYP Entertainment as a trainee. Looking back on Rain’s audition, Park Jin Young said, “I still remember every expression he had and how much he was sweating because he was working hard. I think the reason I picked him to join our agency was because of his eyes. His gaze reminded me of a young lion or tiger cub that was hungry and on the brink of starvation.”
He continued to state, “He had already auditioned at 19 other agencies and been rejected by all of them. He had a lot of pride and as the world wasn’t going the way he wanted it to, his eyes seemed to hold a sense of rebellion, cynicism, and a determination to not lose his pride. It was the first time I’d seen that kind of look in a trainee. I wanted to see what he could do, I was curious.”
Though Park Jin Young has been behind countless stars who have shined in the entertainment industry, he has always had a soft spot for Rain. He said, “The most memorable moment for me is when he won his first Daesang [Grand Prize] on KBS. He started crying during his acceptance speech and I think that’s the only time I’ve cried for someone who won an award.”
When asked why he cried, Park Jin Young said, “He was talking about how I had taken him in when he was at his lowest, and each and every word held so much sincerity that it made me cry along with him. He’s still someone I hope for the best for. He’s someone I always keep my eye on.”
Park Jin Young concluded by stating, “He’s someone I will always come running to if he needs my help. I’ve met many people who can dance, but in my eyes, he’s still the best person at filling up an entire stage by himself with his charisma.”
Rain is back with his first-ever mini-album 'My Life!' He's been fairly quiet since 2014's 'Rain Effect,'
apparently preferring to focus on his acting career. A couple singles
in 2017 reminded us of his musical talent, and now we have a full-blown
comeback. The 8-track EP has 3 instrumentals and a pre-release single,
but you still have 4 brand new tunes including the title track.
"Goodbye" is a stripped-down ballad -- just the way I like them. Jo Hyun Ah has an awesome edge to her voice that gives this tune some great feels. It's a great counter to Rain's slight hoarseness here, and their vocals combine nicely. It's a pre-release track, but it's nice to hear it again. "BabyBaby" is a low-tempo pop tune on acoustic guitar -- at least at first. It's a cool melody after "Goodbye," refreshing and gentle. After the two slower tunes, we get "Again."
This track is an R&B ballad, and very heartfelt. It also lacks that
annoying endpoint, preferring to make its point without Rain having to scream over the music.
"Sunshine" is more of an
upbeat, cheery tune, and has R&B written all over it, and has some
island-style beats as well. It's also a welcome change of pace. "Gang"
is big, bold and in your face, with some synth blasts at the beginning.
It's definitely an outlier on the album, and I can understand why they
promoted with it. It's a sick hip-hop jam and demands your attention.
It's also hella catchy. I could mention something about this tune being a
desperate attempt at relevance, but I'd rather just enjoy this rather
awesome bop.
I still think the standout tracks here are "Sunshine" and "Gang." Particularly "Gang." It's nice to see him back making music, because that's what I was familiar with, until the drama 'My Lovely Girl.'
The singer knows how to bring it, and it would be interesting to see a
live show for this material. He's good at what he does -- and it shows
here.
MV REVIEW
Rain pulls up in a Jeep Wrangler and joins his crew. Why a Wrangler? Because Range Rovers cost at least 4x as much. Rain is all decked out in leather, and so are his backup dancers. There's not much to actually describe here -- it's a performance MV, mainly.
And perform they do. This gaggle has some impressive moves, including Rain himself. The way they effortlessly fall prone and then roll and stand again makes it even better. They do this like they were born to it. I also like how they adjust it for the R&B style pre-chorus. The movements become smooth and slow. And then they crank it back up when the synth starts again. The choreo is pretty impressive, even if the ridiculous full-body getup with a mask at the end (combined with the dance) makes Rain look like a gorilla.
Overall, it's not a bad video. It
has more dancing than you can shake a stick at, and they're not doing
this halfway, which is a good thing. Frankly, it looked kind of badass
in places, which I think was the point. Not the best MV I've seen all
week, but not bad, either.

The king of K-pop is finally making a comeback on January 15 after a hiatus of three years. On January 2, R.A.I.N. Company uploaded a jacket image of Rain’s upcoming album. In the image, Rain is donning a black, feathered fedora while posing in front of a dark background.
As Rain’s first comeback after setting up his own independent agency, this mini album has a special meaning for Rain and his fans.
Before his comeback, Rain is planning on making variety show appearances and releasing teaser videos, behind-the-scenes videos, highlight choreography videos, and other content on his R.A.I.N. Company official website and Naver V App channel.
Artist and actor Rain has released an album image from his upcoming album.

Last Friday
K-pop legend Rain hit Singapore's shores with The Squall concert last Friday.
This is the singer Jung Ji Hoon, who goes by the stage name Rain and made a weather phenomenon synonymous with the Korean wave in the 2000s.
The South Korean pop star has scored multiple chart-topping hits on music shows and even an interview with American television news outlet CNN and such moments from his glorious past were shown as video snippets during his two-hour concert at Resorts World Convention Centre.
The playback of his illustrious achievements, however, did nothing to chase away doubts about his King of K-pop status.
Is Rain still in season?
Talk has been swirling in the entertainment industry that the 34- year-old's singing and acting career is going downhill.
After all, reception to the K-wave pioneer's last album Rain Effect (2014) was lukewarm, and as the dreamy leading man in K-dramas such as My Lovely Girl (2014) and Please Come Back, Mister (2016), he failed to re-create the stellar TV rating of the well-loved romantic comedy Full House (2004), which he starred in.
But at the concert, he proved he still has what it takes to stay on top of the game.
He was a dance-machine, singer and consummate entertainer all rolled into one.
The concert started an hour late and he apologised to the 4,000- strong crowd for it after bursting onto the austere stage set, but the energy level remained high throughout his performance.
There was no sign of the gloomy and lethargic star who met with the media last Thursday at a press conference. He had said then that he was nursing a cold.
Regardless of the tempo of the songs, he kept the fancy footwork of the dances clean and sharp and hit all the high notes.
There were times, however, when the moves seemed contrived, such as when he performed sexy body rolls while belting out the lovestruck ballad The Song That Will Get You.
The choreography for the fast- paced tunes fared better. He impressed with his hip thrusts during the Hip Song and showed off his robot popping moves in I'm Coming.
For the groovy dance tune It's Raining, he threw in a gravity-defying lean reminiscent of that by his idol, the late pop king Michael Jackson.
The singer also banked on his sculpted physique to heat things up.
His outfits consisted of body-hugging T-shirts and suits, as well as a bejewelled cap and vest that he wore in the 2010 music video for The Song That Will Get You.
At one point, he even ripped off a black T-shirt to bare his chiselled chest.
The show was a crowd-pleaser, even if it stuck to Rain's tried-and- tested formula, but in the ever- changing K-pop landscape populated by new and younger acts, it remains to be seen how he will fare.
If anything, the concert has left fans keyed up about his new album, set to be released later this month. Perhaps it will be a chance for him to reinvent himself, with the help of K-pop maverick Psy as the album's producer.

met with his overseas fans through documentary channel 'Discovery's
'Hip-Hop Korea' during the last two, in January and February, 2009,
introducing Seoul's dramatic variation.
Then, Seoul had an effect worth around 4.3 billion won (around $35,000,000) due to Rain's appearance. Seoul
which obtained sweet results, entrusted Goodwill Ambassador of Seoul to
Rain on the 25 of last month and made him represent, over shoes and
over boots.
Seoul
will not only make Rain's features appeared in its overseas promotion
in the future, it's also planning to run a booth for the promotion of
Seoul at Rain's Asia tour which will start with Japan next month.
Meanwhile, Rain finished his global fan meeting with more than 4,000 home and abroad fans with a great success last 26th.It
is said he's currently at the height of preparation for his Asia tour
entitled "Regend of Rainism" which will start with Tokyo, Japan, on the
29th of next month.

When Rain got in his car (van) during his shooting, every onlooker in front closely got near to the fore of his van and saw him by all means.

[July-30-2009] [Fan Review] Comic-Con Special Advance Screening of Ninja AssassinIt is 11 pm on the first full day of Comic-Con and I am being swiped with a metal detector, ordered to turn my phone off and handed a Ninja Assassin headband. A great question, as I am sure many are wondering, is how was I able to see this awesome screening?
I first sited a WB advertisement in the Comic-Con Events Guide. Under Thursday at 11 pm is said “Warner Bros. Special Advance Screening - To Be Announced”. The first step was even noticing this one entry in WB’s full page advertisement.
Thursday afternoon I hit the always packed to the brim Exhibit Hall Floor. I braved the long path through the masses to the WB booth. My plan was to ask about he screening at the booth hoping they had the information.
As I walked up to the WB booth an announcement was made stating they were handing out passes to the screening right now and the movie would be Ninja Assassin. I immediately made my way to the line for the WB booth. Yes, there was a freaking line, but not even to pick up the passes.
All these people were scanning their Comic-Con badges, for what reason I do not really know or care. Once it was my turn at the booth I asked about the pass for the screening and of course this lovely girl had no clue where the passes were.
Literally, as I am standing there asking about the passes another announcement comes over the speaker stating only a few passes were remaining. Luckily the girl with the mic and in the know came over to the booth right as she was making the announcement. I was able to snag one of the last passes they handed out.
Arriving early is also a key factor for going to any screening. I have been to a few screening where I was only a few people away from making it in. Of course WB probably gives out 25 to 50 extra passes because they figure some people will now show. I arrived at 10:20 pm and was able to make my way through the metal detector and into the screening of Ninja Assassin a full three months before its November 25th release date.
The Director James McTeigue was at the screening and introduced the movie.I will say James seems like a really cool guy, someone you could just go up and talk to, not that I did. James gained my attention after directing the spectacular V for Vendetta. After such a stunning directorial debut I am very interested in all his projects.
I actually saw the panel for Ninja Assassin last year at Comic-Con which first sparked my interest in this flick. The main character Raizo is played by Rain. I only knew of Rain after he appeared at Comic-Con last year and pretty much every girl in the room flipped out. Rain is a South Korean pop singer, dancer, model, actor, CEO and designer.
This multi-talented powerhouse has quite a following in the US, he actually sold out his first US concert in 2006 at Madison Square Garden immediately and had to add another day which also sold out! Raizo is one of the most deadly assassins in the world and his introduction, in which he takes out of whole room of foes, immediately shows off his skills.
Not only does he take out these adversaries, but they are all killed in a very specific disturbing way. Such as chopping off limbs, decapitation and various other spectacularly gruesome deaths which result from wielding various ninja weapons. We are told Raizo’s back story through flashbacks to his childhood when he was taken off the street by a secret society and trained to be a killer in what I will refer to as ninja school.
The Ozunu Clan, the secret society, runs this school and turns children into trained killers. The flashbacks dive into the harsh teaching techniques of The Ozunu Clan and focus on a friendship with a fellow student. We are frequently brought back to present time focusing on a scar or something particularity related to the flashback story which was a great transition technique.
Slowly we are piecing the character together. Naomie Harris plays Europol agent Mika Coretti who stumbles upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East.
Most will be familiar with Naomie’s excellent performance in Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy as Tia Dalma. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow who is played by Ben Miles, Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders.
The story moves at a very quick pace which works well with ninja assassins at the center of the movie. The main characters Raizo and Mika are played very well by Rain and Naomie . The supporting cast including Ben Miles compliant the main characters perfectly. The story kept me interested all the way through with only a few slow spots.
I must say there is one thing that bothered me about the ninja fights. The ninjas moved so fast it looked like their legs were not even moving at times. This bothered me quite a bit. To me this effect just seemed a bit over the top. However, the fight scenes are so well done it more then makes up for this odd effect. In the end Ninja Assassin lives up to its name and provides an awesome movie experience!

콜라이더는 "비는 <스피드 레이서>에서 조연을 했던 것에 비해 이번 영화에서 엄청난 발전을 했다. 비록 그의 대사는 짧지만 보이밴드의 이미지를 버리고 흉측한 모습을 기꺼이 감수한 모습이 대단하다"고 평했다.
콜라이더는 <닌자 어쌔신>의 주요 내용과 기존 무술 영화와의 차이점을 기술했다. 콜라이더는 "<닌자 어쌔신>은 대중이 즐거워할 만한 영화임이 분명하다. CG를 보강한 <킬빌>과도 같다"고 평했다.

매체는 "이 영화는 복수를 주제로 한 무술 영화다. 어린 시절 훈련을 받은 영웅이 스승과 결투하게 된다는 구조는 흔히 보는
것이다. 그러나 훈련 과정이 매우 흥미롭다. 학교라기 보다 감옥에 가까운 곳에서 자비심을 갖지 않도록 훈련을 받는 과정이
공개된다"고 설명했다.
