Rain hold '2009' S/S launching show & concert, Six to Five's launching show&performance, in Keongkido Ilsan Kintex Hall on the afternoon of the 23th.'Six to Five' is the brand by subsidiary company under his agency.

This day, Rain gave a mini concert, radiating his attraction as a fashion model and a singer.All the models coming on stage during the finale, Rain appeared as a designer and pulled down the house. After this, he was greeted with loud applause as a splendidly performing singer.

Another special end-of-year stage: Rain and Hyori

After we have news that JYP and Rain will be having a special stage together, here’s another exciting news of a special stage between 2 of Korea’s biggest ‘Sexy Icons’ Lee Hyori and Rain.

They will be having a joint stage on 29th December after 5 years.

Hyori will also be appearing for Rain’s fashion brand ‘Six To Five’ launch show on 23rd December. Rain said, “I had went up to Hyori noona and asked her for a favour to appear on the show. She had agreed to it immediately. This is going to be a fantastic performance.”

This is because Rain had also appeared on Hyori’s solo concert as guest performer on 20th December performing 3 of his songs ‘Rainism’, ‘Fresh Woman’ and ‘It’s Raining’.

The last time the 2 performed together was in 2003 November on MBC ‘Korean Movie Award’ with ‘Tango performance’ and in December that year for KBS ‘Music Award’ with a dance battle.

‘Dance Battle’ between Park Jin Young and Rain on the last day of year 2008



Mentor Park Jin Young and disciple Rain will heat up the last day of year 2008 for fans.

They will be performing for a special stage on 31st December in GyeongGiDong MBC Dream Production Centre for ‘Gayo Festival’. It is said that they are in the midst of planning for the special stage where Park Jin Young and Rain will dance to each other’s song for a ‘dance battle’.

The special performance between the two will be the topic for fans before the end of year 2008, just like how the special performance between the 2 Kpop divas Um Jung Hwa’s and Lee Hyori’s special stage in summer.

Rain had been raised to become one of the ‘world stars’ today under the guidance of his mentor Park JinYoung.

Rain left JYP Entertainment last year and started out his own company J Tunes Entertainment. Park Jin Young has also expressed his support for Rain’s independence back then.

Rain spoke his mind, "It was really regrettable that I was ignored because of my appearance".

Rain appeared on Shin Hae-Cheol' "Special Edition" recoding of MBC Everyone to be broadcasted on the 26th, and opened his heart about what he's been through until his success.

Rain said," The most regret in my unknown days was that I was ignored because of my appearance.
I had around 18 auditions before my debut.Each agency recognized my dance and singing ability, but pointed out my face."

And he added, "I told them to trust me, but nobody even look at me owing to my appearance. Rather, their looking down on me of the time seemed to make me have my own way."

Rain, who was poor when he was young, but has happily ridden up now, said like this, "I'm very pleased that I can afford to buy everything for my sister as much as I can."

Rain, "I've wanted to be a designer since my childhood."

Rain transformed as a fashion designer spoke his mind that he wanted to make clothes since he was young.He was present at 'Six to Five', fashion brand, launching show's press conference held in the Ilsan Kintex, Kyungkido on the afternoon of the 23th, and he said like this.

Rain, who has engaged in even the brand design, said, "I just do what I want to do. I'm doing music and acting, but I want to challenge even many other things. I've wanted to make clothes since I was young. The opportunity finally offered itself to view, and I also took advice from the people around me. That's the way I design and wear the clothes I want to put on."

"Activity as a designer and a businessman is too difficult for me yet. I'm doing what I like to do. If you show interest me, I'm filled with gratitude.I've not the know-how to design, but the clothes I want to wear were understood at my disposal. I'm developing new symbol or so as a designer."

He said about his upcoming schedule, "I plan to finish my domestic activity till this year, I'll promote there, after my album is released in China, Japan, and etc by early next year. From next February, producing of my album released in the USA will be begun, and from next March, Ninja Assassin promotion is expected to be begun."

And he said about relation to fashion brand, "Starting with the country, it seem to be launched throughout Asia. If it eventuates well, even Europe is under consideration."

In this "Six to Five launching show" based on the 4colors, Red, Blue, and Black, the best stage finalizing Rain's activity of this year was shown with the special&splendid model walking and performance according to each theme, and it arrested people's eyes more owing to the star studded event.
