Rain to Shine for Pepsi
BEIJING, Dec. 7
South Korean singer and actor Rain is now one of Pepsi's celebrity spokespersons in China.
He is the first non-Chinese pop star the company has chosen to speak for their products in the Chinese-language community.
It is acknowledged that Rain’s new role as a spokesperson for Pepsi is proof of his unchallenged influence and popularity in China. Previous Asian spokespersons for Pepsi include the now disbanded Taiwanese pop band F4, Taiwan singer Jay Chow and Hong Kong artist Edison Chan.
"Rain's payment is the highest among Pepsi's Asian spokespersons up to now, almost the same as the A-list stars in Europe and the United States," said JYP Entertainment Co. Ltd., Rain's publicity company.
